I know it may be a long shot, but could you ring the Council Tax department that covers the area of Jakes chip address as when they moved house, they would HAVE had to give a forwarding address (I used to work in Council Tax so know this is a requirement), and at least you could ask them to ring their new contact number just to at least let them know to ring you?? They may not do it but its worth asking.

Unfortunatly the microchip is registered to the dogs old address - and we can't trace where the owners have moved to - all our bordering councils have been notified.

Is there anymore details on this dog? If its microchipped have they not been able to locate its owner?

The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
