How can this place have operated for so long? Are there no checks or regulations on charity rescue centres?. Longworth, Abington is not far from SN1 postcode where so many dogs have been dumped recently some in a very poor condition, might this explain where they have come from. Just glad these animals have now been removed.

If the small photo on the BBC Oxford website is an indication of the conditions these poor animals were kept in then thank goodness they have been removed. Let's hope the RSPCA scan all the dogs - you never know what they might find! Shereen - Would they be prepared to let you see the dogs or at least show you photos of them? Carole

BBC OXFORD 3PM TODAY.There will be a report showing the conditions CRUNCHYS have kept thier animals in.

If the RSPCA and police are involved then why not ask their assistance for any information about a dog with Jizz' description being taken to veterinary surgeries for a skin complaint - or for anything else? Lists of these are easily available but you need to get round the data protection thing. Calls both from you and to you can also be traced through phone bills.
I seriously doubt the 'flying in a specialist from the States' having looked at their status on the Charity Commissions webpage. Can no-one request an inspection of their accounts? The re-selling (sorry re-donating of funds) should show up if the dog is declared on their books.
There is something very odd about this.

Have the owners who originally adopted Jizz contacted crunchies? Surely she would have to give them some answers she can hardly deny knowing who they are after they talked to her for such a long period of time!

Was it Crunchy's who were involved in the case with Toby the border collie? This is dreadful i wonder why they keep doing things like this when Jizz obviously had a home to go to where he was wanted and being looked after! I hope he is okay what with him needing specialist treatment for his skin. I also think he has shar pei in him, which could explain the skin problems. The poor little thing, fingers crossed somebody recognises him and comes forward, or the lady at Crunchy's decides to let the owners know what happened to him!

Shame they can't take the owner to court - she would have to tell the truth under oath - if she didn't it is a criminal offence and maybe she would have a hefty fine, or imprisonment, they may even put her out of business.

Will start sharing this,Jizz's markings are quite clear,he looks like he has some Shar pei in there... Ive got a feeling he could be in the Abingdon or surrounding area possibly not too far away??

Jizz was adopted (although again no paperwork was provided) by Luke and Charlotte in September 2009, from Crunchys Animal Rescue in Abingdon. Jizz was four months old, and as you can see he didnt have a hair on his body, he was in a very bad condiition, he did not respond to the medication that Angie had given the couple, after continued phone calls to Crunchys, they were told that the dog would have to be placed in quarantine, and that she was flying a specialist over from America who would be able to help Jizz get better, this was in April 2010, they called regularly to see how Jizz was, and were told he had to remain in quarantine, this continued until September 2010, throughout this period they were told that because the dog was in quarantine they would not be allowed to visit, and also that there was construction work being done there (heard this one a few times from them). they were asked to foster another Staffie for them, until Jizz was well enough to be returned home, which they did, and they still have the dog now. Then Angie stopped speaking to them, at this point the RSPCA and Police were asked to visit Crunchys to get their dog back for them, when they arrived the dog was no where to be found, and she told them that she had never heard of Luke. They would really like to know what happened to Jizz, they are aware that if Angie has rehomed him the people who now have him, would not of been told the full story, and probably would of been told another pack of lies. Did you purchase this dog between April - Sept 2010"Last edited: 2011-04-10 17:47:49 by BC

Sorry to see that JIZZ is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (29110)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
