- Sorry chaps - pre-empted everything! I actually know Barry's good reputation from other circles, so thought I better step in, in case things weren't clear (plus I've got slightly involved with these poundies too) Apologies all 'round - I'll get my coat and go now - he he ;)

- Yes Titania you are right and i would not rehome an unassessed dog direct from a pound without assessment. But i'm aware that this a lost dog/found dog site and was going to explain to essexgirl tomorrow that if we can get him a rescue space she can apply to them for him.

- Essex Girl - It's much safer for all involved if we can get rescue back up, Sunny is neutered, vaxed, chipped and assessed some more. You have a 5 year old and another dog, neither would I want to put in any kind of risk. Please call Barry tomorrow (I will too) and we all need to look at a safe way for all involved, of moving ahead. Not that Sunny has shown any issues BUT poundies just cannot be rehomed straight from the pound. I personally would not foster place either unless someone had recommended experience and also no small children. Barry & yourself will probably not 'like' me at this time BUT everybody's safety is of paramount concern I'm afraid.

- Let's chat tomorrow. If you asked Sunny if he'd like to die or be given a chance i think we know what he would say.

- I volunteer with a rescue called ALL DOGS MATTER and do the pound round but we are chocka block so no foster carers for these guys. They are doing seven days in the stray's pound. If not reclaimed they may be put to sleep. I try to reunite strays via here.
