- Just wanted to add a note as all seems to have gone quiet, try to stay positive. Last year a border collie from near me got out at the end of July and wasn't caught again until the end of September as she became nocturnal and was hiding away from everybody trying to catch her, I put food down for her every night but only saw her 3 times - fingers crossed that Max is soon back home where he belongs, my heart goes out to you xx

- Various size posters and details emailed out to Rescues, RSPCA's, Dog Training Clubs, Merseyside Pet Ambulance, DL helpers in area and NW areas further afield, also Co-ordinator's Goldenfrodo and RileysMum.
If anyone is able to help with the postering and spread the word please let us know and posters can be emailed to you. Thanks. Jan x - 2011-02-12 00:10 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
- Yes Deb4gsd, it changed to reunited just after I posted. So pleased the Retriever has been reunited, would of been great if it had been Max though. I have alerted his owner that it is not Max. Jan x
- 2011-02-12 00:06 Deb4gsd
- Yes, I went to have a look at the 'found retriever' and noticed there was a lost retriever listed same area, and it now has reunited.
- 2011-02-11 23:58 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
- There is a missing Retriever that has been registered on the AW site after I seen the details in my previous post, so looks like a match for the found boy.

- Have e mailed owner about a similar dog listed on UK Missing Pet Register, found on the 10th in Roundhay, Leeds. Roughly 26 miles away but quite possible that he could have covered this distance in a week. Long shot, but worth a try. Last edited: 2011-02-11 01:24:36 by digbysmum

- Have had replies from his owner who will check his page when they get home. I've updated his details now and grouped photo/s together, various size posters have been emailed to his owner. Max may have been taken or let out from the garden as when owner returned home the back gate was open, which was securely shut when they went out. Jan x

- My friend who works for Pendle Council has told me via facebook to contact Laura Robinson or Katrina Bullas who are the dog wardens for Pendle - she says they are both lovely. Have posted again tonight to make sure everybody sees it. Is there anywhere in particular you usually walk that he may have headed for? x

- I have had this left on my FB page from a girl at work.
i saw max only a few days ago walking along Birtwistle as this is where i live. if it's any consalation he looked fine but wet and he was sniffing around. he did not look distressed or injured.
I have asked her if she can let me know what day this was, as soon as i get any more on this i will post it. Lisa - 2011-02-08 20:50 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
- Photo cropped and reloaded to bring him closer. I sent a text earlier tonight to you Max's mummy to see if you had a landline for me to contact you on. Great you have posted on his page it really does help. I've sent an email with contact numbers of places to try locally and surrounding areas to yourself and also other advice/info. If you need various size posters doing let me know a.s.a.p. as after tonight I won't be online until very late tomorrow night.
Max looks just like my goldie who was also called Max and loved water, he would find the dirtiest puddles and lie down and roll over in them. The POSTERS are the key to getting Max back, sometimes finders do not know who to contact when they find a dog. Keeping everything crossed for you that your lovely boy is found soon. Good luck. - Yes, it was Guinness (sorry it was not Max) I have looked on pets4Homes but could not see him on there nor on other free sites. Have checked RSPCA sites as well. I will keep checking.
