Sorry the sightings aren't Goggles but it's good that people are responding to the posters. You must be worn out with it all but please stay positive. Think about her everyday hoping she's home soon x

Hi sorry I have been very jaded for the last week. The two previous sightings are definitely not Goggles. I have found it very hard getting my hopes up only to find another dead end. But I must go on.

On a postive note, I had a phone call this morning at 7.22 froma girl in Chacewater that is convinced that Goggles was running down the main street. I went down imediately to look for but couldn't find her. The girl had seen the poster at the shop she was at just before the dog ran by but I am not count on her 100% as I have had 4 apparent positive ids that have turn out to be dogs nothing like her!

I will be putting up some more posters in Chacewater, which is about 5 minutes drive from our house, this evening and calling her. Hopefully someone will pick her up, if it is her.

Thank you everyone for staying so positive.

Do you have another dog? If so walking around the areas where there's been sightings at night with another dog may draw her out. Just a thought x
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Such a shame I was really hopeful it was her. You've done everything you can, it's just getting her face known around the area as much as possible. It's awful to think about but are there many mines around the area? Have you looked into it?
Keep up the hard work. I so hope it pays off soon for you. I may be in Truro next week if you need a few more posters up. Thinking of you everyday day hoping there's some news x
LenaG
Hi Jules. No news. THe police and the dog warden have no record of the dog they picked up in shortlanesend last week. I am logging an inciddent with the police of what so an officer might give us some information on what happened.

The other sighting is not a 100% positive id and was sighted on monday or tuesday not last week. So it could be her. I have been out looking but have had no sightings. I am going back in today to poster and to check out the butchers on that road to see if they have had any visitors.

I am just worried that because she has never been on her own she will not approach people or come out when they are around.

Any news?
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
I hope it's her. X
LenaG
Goggles is in the paper this week and next. We have postered Shortlanesend. The dog that was sighted last week that matched her description, was apparently caught by the police. Trying to get a hold of the station that dealt with it.

My neighbours friend might have seen her also last week. A dog similar was spotted near River Street Truro, last thursday, wandering around on its own. This would a report made to BBC Radio Cornwall of a jack russell wandering around Truro on its on on the same day.

Could be two diiferent Jacks. Will keep postering Truro and try a few more vets further away.

It's away from main roads so I hope she's staying there. Have more ads gone into papers this week? Really need to get her known around the Truro area. Need another sighting....come on goggles...where are you?

Owner has managed to track down the lady who sighted her and the sighting was at Short lanes end, Truro on the 5th or 6th of january. The lady has described the dog exactly. Owner in area now putting up posters. The dog was on its own and carry a large stick. There is also a later report of police trying to catch a dog in the area but no records with the police.

Possible sighting at last. Will share on facebook again.
LenaG
There has been a possible spotting of Goggles over the weekend. A lady has been into Clifton Villa Vets by Truro Station and srecognised Goggles' photo. She say here on the weekend wandering around on her in that area.

I am waiting for more details of the sighting. But when I contacted BBC Radio Cornwall they said a jack russell had been report running around Truro on Thursday.

So could be good news. I have been walking the streets tonight but too wet and dark for anything to be out. Will try again in the morning. I will be doing as postering in Truro aswell so if anyone has a printer and could help, would really appreciate it!

I keep checking goggles page hoping there is some news. Could she have chased a rabbit and got stuck any where near she was last seen? Hoping there's good news soon. Dont give up x
LenaG
I have emailed posters to as many vets as I can with a 25 mile radius. I have also included the animal shelters. No one has contacted me so far. I was really hoping I would get a call this morning. Begining to think she might be gone for good.

Might try the local travellers sites as they have been seen around the area.
LenaG
Thank you all for your help!!!! I hope she will turn up tomorrow when the vets are open again. Miss her desperately

Sorry to see that GOGGLES is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (26971)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
