I have finally got a reply from the Rescue Centre and I have to confess, that little JRT I looked at turned out to be a Pointer Cross Collie. Thankfully I am not the only one to make the mistake otherwise I would have given up being a DogLost helper, coz all these poor people on this site would have had no chance of getting their dog back with me on the case. Sorry these two little ones are not home yet, I will continue to look out for them, hope they are safe and home soon.xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I went to the shop today, the two dogs are very similar to look at but the one in the shop is a dog and not a bitch and is younger. The advert said that he was not chipped so they must scan. I wondered about that Candy because of Dollys Directive, thats why I wanted to check the poster out. I didn't have the number Nik but I have it now in case this happens again, especially if they are not chipped and this dog was picked up as a stray. Anyway he looks really cute so I am thinking of rehoming him myself, my husband is keen as we have just lost our Jacko, and the advert states that he mixes well with other dogs so he should be ok with our springer.xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Chipster. We know you scan all dogs, Cacker was refering to a rehomning centre in Banstead.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We have recieved your poster and would like to put your mind to rest, we scan ALL dogs that come through our doors. We have had a few chipped dogs that have been reunited with their owners after being missing for a couple of years, please dont give up hope xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Cacker, why don't you phone the centre and find out whether this JRT has been scanned. It would be tragic if he was rehomed when there was an anxious owner waiting.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Cacker remember that not all rehoming centres scan or even possess a scanner, hence Dolly's Directive. Dolly 6.2.05Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've seen a JRT with a black face being advertised in a pet shop for rehoming in Banstead. The advert has been there for long while and is from a resure/rehoming centre so I presume that they would have scanned the dog but I will check the picture over the weekend just in case. Hope George and Charlie are reunited with their owner very soon.xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Bugs. Really hope Georgie and Charlie can be located. Hate to harp on but this is what Dolly's Directive is all about - Dogs being scanned and checked for tattoos by all organisations that come into contact with them. They look such a sweet pair I really hope they are home soon. Dolly 6.2.05Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Glad to see these dogs back at the top... never forgotten these and very concious that it's the same area as Florence's disappearance (mentioned at the time). I know the girl's owners are determined to keep looking for them - as always - someone somewhere knows where they are.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi me again, another tought. The main manor house at Non Such Park is open to the public and also for weddings and functions etc you can get info about the park from sutton council. Richmond park is again run by Sutton council, you will need to contact Surrey council for details for the park keepers. Good luck. JustineLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
