Spoken to owner now and passed info on. Ruby does have littermates living in the Liverpool area, have suggested if any owners are known they are contacted to eliminate them from the sighting. I'll do various size posters a.s.a.p. Jan x

*** BUMPED **** Possible Sighting.

Due to the emailing out done late last night I've been contacted by helper Englishlynn with a possible sighting of Ruby on WEDNESDAY 8th Dec in Liverpool Town Centre, near the Radio City Beacon, she was being walked by a couple. Trying to contact owner on both the landline and mobile number but will also send a text and email.

Thanks Englishlynn for the alert, Ruby may well have been found and not reported to the DW. Have stressed to family to keep checking kennels at least once a week in case Ruby is handed in. Jan x

Details emailed out to Rescues, RSPCA's, Dog Training Clubs, Merseyside Pet Ambulance, DL helpers in area and NW areas further afield, also Co-ordinator's Goldenfrodo and RileysMum. If anyone is able to help with the postering and spread the word please let us know and various size posters can be emailed to you. Thanks. Jan x

Owner has replied and there is still no news on Ruby, they are still checking places and going into Halewood RSPCA again this week. The posters are going to be the key to getting her back. Jan x
CP
Thanks Majorjet - guessed you were away, your absence was missed; good to have you back. x
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
LOL CP you posted as I was typing my post. Jan x

Thanks CP for passing details onto AIN. All local numbers were emailed out to owner with the info/advice. I have returned from my three week hols in USA now and depending on time factor with work etc I normally email out details to rescues/helpers etc and AIN are on the list, they do normally print off a poster and display in their kennels, which is great.

Text to owner for an update to see if there has been any news on Ruby. Jan x
CP
Any news on little Ruby yet? It's so cold outside......
CP
Animals in Need were not aware of Ruby missing. Have given them details of her and DL identity no. in case she comes to them via DW or Halewood. They have said they will look at her on DL site but guess it would be good if owner could get poster to them.
Jodie Byrne
Yeah I meant the railway bridge by philbeach... My mum said she ran towards the playing fields XOXOX

Posters are so so important round here as so many people NEVER call DW as they dont want dogs going to Halewood. We get it all the time, they ring DT or vets and ask but never the 'correct' people as dont want dog to go 'pound' (must stress halewood do there absolute best for the facilities they have and pressure there under with numbers)

Thanks Adele. x I just phoned and spoke to Ruby's owners.
She's still postering and remaining positive.
Fingers crossed we can get this little girl home soon. Barbara x
Rileys Mum
Tried to call owner.. no answer so will try again later. I did text earlier to say i could help. Will keep trying. Adele. x

Thanks Adele and mad_gal_heva. I was emailing back and forth a few times last night to owner, she did receive the original email with advice etc which I sent to AIN, went through some of the info again with owner. She is going to register on DL and a family member is going to visit Halewood RSPCA on Thursday as owner does not have transport. Ruby may well have been picked up and finder thinks she has been dumped or they may not know who to contact, the posters are vital. Owner is very grateful for all the help and support she has been receiving and passes on her thanks. Keeping everything crossed. Jan x

Jodie thank you for that post.. do you mean the railway bridge on Philbeach Road? The playing field is right at the end of that road isn't it with houses backing onto it?

Jodie Byrne
Hi my name is Jodie. I live by philbeach. My mum seen Ruby on sunday when she was coming home from work round about half 9 by the bridge. My mum said she was a very timid dog and when she went to stroke her she ran towards the field facing philbeach road. My mum obivously thought she was a stray but she thought ruby would find her way home. I seen a poster of ruby this morning and I showed it to my mum and she said that was the dog she seen. I really hope this helps. I dont want to get anyones hopes up. Just letting you. I hope you find her xoxoxox
CP
I know it's stating the obvious but could Ruby have entered neighbours' gardens somehow without anyone realising? Does the area lend itself to passageways or alleys where she cant' get out? Or, perhaps unknown to anyone, be locked in a shed or garage?
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Thanks CP your help is greatly appreciated, the numbers were included in the email. I am on hols in USA and do not return home until Friday, only have limited access, if she is not found by time I get home I will email out to everyone on the lists I have. Great you have managed to contact her owner Barbara. Keeping everything crossed Ruby is found soon. Jan x
CP
Could owner contact Animals in Need, Melling, to enquire - tel. 549 0959 - although this could already be included in DL guide. Freshfields Animal Rescue, too, 931 1604.

Great if you could ring tomorrow, I cannot ring from here but have just managed to log on for a while and sent email with local advice etc.

If picked up the main kennels she will be taken to is Halewood RSPCA, Leigh C&D Home should be checked and the Out of Hours AW. Animal Aid will most probably have the contact numbers but they are in the email. Fingers crossed little Ruby is found soon and back home with her family. Good luck. Jan x
Goldenfrodo
Will phone tomorrow as its too late now.
