Fantastic news ......... I am so pleased that this pup is back home with his family after so many weeks !Why are so many people seemingly unaware of the laws regarding found dogs ? Welcome home Cid and please stay safe from now on x Pam

just rang owners as I had a report of a found Akita puppy to get the good news that Cid was spotted being walked locally - owners were informed and went to speak to the finder who admitted that he had found him the night after he went missing and had had him all the time - he had been well looked after by finder but he did not do the one important LEGAL requirement which he should have done in calling the dog warden - This puppy could have been home 3 weeks earlier as he had his microchip as formal ID, Owners are overjoyed to have him home

Sadly there is still no news of this boy

Cid ran off along with his mother when spooked by fireworks. His owners found his Mum shortly afterwards but Cid is still missing. Within 2 hours of him running off her owners were told he was in nearby by woods and went straight there but could not find him. They have been returning there in case he is hiding up there but his Mum has not picked up his scent so it is felt he has been found and kept by someone. Owners have contacted dog wardens, stray kennels and vets and an advert has also appeared for 3 nights in the local paper. Some postering has been done but I have advised the owners to POSTER POSTER POSTER to make this boy too hot to handle ! Hoping to see Cid back home very soon x PamLast edited: 2010-11-14 12:25:23 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
