This may be a very long shot, but worth checking. There is a Rottie female pup, under six months at West End Farm Kennels it was picked up in Ipswich. http://www.westendfarmkennels.co.uk/rehoming/listings

I've added the post to my Beckenham local website for you which links back to this page and I hope someone spots Trudi for you soon. http://www.beckenhamtown.us/forum/topics/lost-black-and-tan-rottweiler
deedee
Hi Trudie, have you been ringing battersea every week, or the dog warden, I have been asking around wells park and dulwich woods but so far nothing, i will keep spreading the word, also have you tried to put an advert in the south london press, good luck
Millys Mum
I do hope that Kay has already asked Foxgrove Rd Vets to put a poster up, as mentioned in my post dated 8th September. Foxgrove Road Veterinary Centre (also my vets) is the closest vet to Beckenham Place Park as it's just a 5 minute walk but I presume this vet has already been visited. They are always most helpful and agreeable to placing Missing posters in their large waiting room. And what about the Announcements page of the News Shopper suggested by Helper, Baggy Dog. Their cut off time for advertisements is around 10.30/11am Monday morning. It's the best local paper for these Missing ads.Last edited: 2010-09-28 12:01:56 by Millys Mum
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Have spoken to owner and she is still at work and very emotional at a hopefully promising siting....she is going first thing tomorrow to area to poster ( um have given her advice on where to poster ie not to public but in vets, petshops postmen etc ) ...
Millys Mum
It would be really good if Trudi's owner would post on this page. There is so much help, concern and support on here from our loyal Helpers that we just need to know whether you are still actively looking for her.

Has anyone heard / seen anything yet? Any news? I have flyered around Beckenham and handed flyers to several dog walkers but no one has seen anything yet...
Millys Mum
Thanks Ashmark for the update. I was hoping to see a missing ad in our local News Shopper as it has been responsible for reuniting several of our missing dogs. It has a wide circulation both in North Kent & parts of SE London but unfortunately nothing in this week's edition. Here's hoping for some good news on this little sweetie.
AlisonH
Text sent for update. There has been no sightings or leads as to where little Trudi is.
Millys Mum
ANY NEWS? ANY PHONE CALLS OR INFO? IS TRUDI HOME YET? Kay, can you update us please.
Millys Mum
Thanks littlehelper and jojo! Kay could you update Trudi's page and let us know who you have contacted. Do you realise that after 7 days (if someone has removed Trudi's ID) that a rescue is allowed to legally re-home a dog? I really would appreciate a word, if you are able to call me. I need to let you know about some local important information. I have sent you an email with a long list of contacts & phone numbers. Did you receive this and have you worked through the contacts? I'm about to go out for around an hour and will then be back home for the entire evening.Last edited: 2010-09-10 18:15:17 by Millys Mum

Have postered in Beckenham place park playing fields, croydon park road, and handed out flyers to dog walkers and spread the word about Trudi. I think pubs, vets and pet shops are good places to flyer, because Trudi has been stolen, I think that someone may try to sell her, so someone must hear about a rotty pup for sale somewhere soon! I am posting on my facebook now!
littlehelper
So sorry your little Trudi is missing, put her on www.petsforums.co.uk also alfieslostdogs.com I do hope you find her soon

Millys Mum, I've only just logged on, did posters while in work and don't freely go on the Internet. I was going to email the posters to you tonight and have now sent them to you also to helpers who have posted saying they are in the area. Thanks everyone for supporting Kay who is doing a brilliant job getting the word out. Jan x
Millys Mum
Thanks Majorjet! Would you also send mini flyers to my email address?
Millys Mum
Oh wow! I've just got in from work and seen all the posts on Trudi's page - thank you, thank you, thank you. You are all amazing & I can't thank you enough for your help in the search for this gorgeous little girlie. I've put a poster up on my 'favourite tree' in Kelsey Park near the cafe, kiddies playground and crazy golf, also Sponge Kitchen at the parade of local shops in Park Langley near to the Chinese Garage have agreed to put up a poster on their door for everyone to see. I gave a poster to a friend this morning who works at the PDSA in Croydon and she will be putting up a poster there tonight when she goes into work and will alert all staff to Trudi's missing status. Also our dog owning practice nurse will put up a poster in her local dog walking park in Catford and have also given a poster to another friend who lives opposite Cator Park. I think Baggy Dog has a VERY GOOD POINT is saying that the missing ad should appear on the ANNOUNCEMENTS page of the good ol' News Shopper (I believe their cut off deadline for ads is 10.30am/11am on a Monday morning) as sometimes the missing ad are rather lost in the Pets section towards the back of the newspaper. I'm just printing off some more posters & will put one up on the noticeboard over Harvington and one up at Hayes Common this afternoon. Once again thank you every one for all responding so quickly. xxLast edited: 2010-09-09 14:54:45 by Millys Mum

ellejay
How old is Trudie ??? there is a girl Rottie pup for sale on Gumtree, but stating 7 weeks old ?? Trudie looks abit older than that ? Would be good to put an ad on Gumtree saying she is missing also.
DogLostRiverlady
Will put Trudi on twitter + circulate.
ellejay
Kay, have you got Facebook ?? Another good thing to do is to make a page on there dedicated to finding Trudie. Then people can send it to all their friends on their list, and before you know it you could have up to hundreds looking out for her, someone i saw the other day had over 6000 members on their dogs page, word can spread easily this way, and people can cross post to other websites and forums, we need Trudie HOT PROPERTY if she has been Stolen.
Kay
Thank you all for your help and support, i am truely moved. Trudi means everything to me and knowing that she is being thought of far and wide comforts me. I have done all that has been suggested, contacting the police, wardens, animal welfare groups, battersea, RSPCA, petshops, shops. i didnt however think of the announcements page of the news shopper. Thank you all again. xx
ellejay
This is right near Mayow Park also, where Roxy went missing. I can help poster, My O.H drives through here every day to get to work and does all the back streets, so i will get him putting some posters up round that way and Peckham where he works. I can poster round Catford, Beckenham and Bromley. Lets make this girl to hot to handle... please call all vets in areas, give a poster to local cab firms, contact your local police stations and the pcso's so they can look out on their beats. Get a poster up on the notice board in the big Sainsburys..Penge high street is very busy so poster all down there..target dog walkers in the parks, without a doubt put an ad in the Newshopper as this paper targets a huge area. and please please Check ALL free ads websites like Gumtree, pets4homes, epupz, ukclassifieds, preloved, in case someone has her and has put her up for sale on there..i will look on there reguarly. lets hope this baby is home so soon. x
Barnaby's mum
Trudy is such a sweetie i'm so sorry she is missing. Please stay positive and poster like mad, one faxed to Kings Rd vets, Biggin Hill and i will put one up in the Five Bells pub, Chelsfield and Chelsfield Village Hall. I suggest you also poster all the pubs in the area as someone may know of a person just acquired a puppy or trying to sell one. Good luck - stay positive, this site really works. xx
heidi
I am very sorry to see that Trudy is missing. I will poster vets in Chislehurst, Sidcup, Orpington, Chelsfield and Petts Wood by the end of today. I shall poster Scadbury Park Nature Reserve and Petts Wood Farmland which runs from Chislehurst to Bronmley (both busy dog walking areas), I shall make dog walkers aware of her. I shall go to St Mary Cray and poster there as it always seems to be a Stolen Dog Hotspot. Will do all I can. Don't give up. Love Heidi

I've just delivered a poster for display in Last Chance shop in Bromley. Reiterate advice about postering. Also consider News Shopper ad (with colour pic). Better to put on Announcements page rather than Pets page so more people will see it. Hope this pretty girl is home soon.

as photo is on page bumped for email alerts to go out
Millys Mum
Have you asked Whites Pet Care in Sydenham Road to display a poster (tel 8778 6981). And as I said in my email please contact Woodlands Kennels at Westerham Hill asap. Another must (try to get a poster to them) is Foxgrove Rd Vets (tel: 020 8650 2003) as they offer 24/7 emergency cover for ALL local vets. I have sent ellejay, one of our local Helpers, an email & so hopefully she will post on Trudi's page. I will also alert Helper, Baggy Dog & ask her to ask our Last Chance Friend to put a poster in the Last Chance Shop in Chatterton Rd, Bromley.
Millys Mum
I have receieved a reply from my email (sorry, I've been out this evening) and will contact Trudi's owners tomorrow afternoon when I get home from work.

What a wee smasher ! Agreed - I also do not feel that she has run off. A little tiddler like this couldn't run far so - for sure - somebody has her, but postering and fliers flooded everywhere usually work.
Kay
I dont feel Trudi has run off or is lost, I strongly believe she has been stolen. There was no way she could have gotten out of our garden on her own. No one so far has seen her.Last edited: 2010-09-08 16:21:40 by Kay

I will poster and flyer around Beckenham Place park in Lewisham/Bromley borough and ask to see if anyone has been offered a rotty pup recently, or seen any new ones in the area. Good Luck! Jo

Sorry to hear that Trudy is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. If you have a picture of your dog, please upload one to the Doglost site, (if it hasn’t been done already) by clicking on “update details” on your dog’s page. Browse for the picture on your PC, add it and then click “update”. You must be logged in to Doglost to do this. Alternatively, email a picture to admin@doglost.co.uk giving your dog’s ID number, or name and postcode, and someone will upload it for you. As soon as a photo is added mailings will be sent out to all local helpers who will help in the search for your dog. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
