- WOW how fantastic. Good on Medway City Vets who are my ones as well and the honesty here. I am so, so pleased at this result as I know Sasha's owner had tried her utmost to find her. Will tell the doggie folk up Capstone and a massive thanks to Kent police and Petlog. Sylvxx

- Very very pleased to say i've just had a hug from Sasha... a huge huge thank you to Kent Police and Medway City Estate vets, and Petlog, without whom, Sasha wouldn't be home now. Very simply, Sasha had been stolen and sold on with a sob story to an innocent purchaser, who cared very much for her. That new "owner" took her to the vets yesterday and whilst there she was scanned for a chip, which revealed to Sasha's real mum that she was with someone else. With the aid of the police and the vets, the new owner realised that Sasha belonged with her mum and brought her back to the vets to be reunited. We can only thank her for her honesty and for caring so well for Sasha during the last 2 months. Welcome home, Sasha - stay safe now sweetheart xxx

- Just had a text from Sherlock to say switch to reunited as owner is on way to vets to pick her up. I will leave it to sherlock to now relate the whole story of what has been going on behind the scenes- ( just to leave you all guessing but its a tale of a microchip- a new owner and kent police to the rescue!!)

- I'm hoping to be able to update this one soon. There has been a very important development and I'm hoping it means Sasha will be home soon, but it's not straight forward. Will keep you updated.

- Sasha's owner is really trying to let everyone know about her with loads of posters. Have suggested more go up near Darland Banks eg The Star pub as it's just across the road from where she went missing and of course the PDSA is not far away at Gillingham Business Park and someone might have taken her there. Have been keeping a very close eye on the area which I travel through on a regular basis and walk the dogs at nearby Capstone. Everything's crossed she will be found soon as it's heartbreaking for the owner. love Sylv xx

- Have asked some local helpers to try and get posters up. make sure you have contacted dog warden. Try places like local takeaways-pet stores etc they often help and allow posters in windows. Shame the vets wont help as often a good place!! Its good to see Sasha is chipped but still phone the rescue everyday to check what dogs are being held. get poster around the area she is missing and word of mouth by talking to other dog walkers- carry a stock of small slips of paper with brief description and your mobile- then hand out to dog walkers in same area. - Emailed advice., Sorry to see Sasha is missing. Someone will try and make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. Please email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog quoting the dog’s Doglost ID number, or upload a photo yourself on “update details” above. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days, so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog & give them a poster. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
