I'm so sorry to have raised hopes, but Staffie Rescue have done a photo comparison with a the found dog and it's not Max. (I'll take a camera myself next time!) I do hope you find Max before long. Good Luck in your search!

I've just transported a very similar dog 'Dudley' for Staffie Rescue. Do the owners have any other photos of Max, particularly of the scars on his head and/or ALL his feet, esp back left? If so could they be emailed to me??? Could you tell me whether he liked/was used to car travel?Last edited: 2010-10-31 16:07:27 by CopperM

Have emailed advice. Sorry to hear that Max is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. If you have a picture of your dog, please upload one to the Doglost site, (if it hasn’t been done already) by clicking on “update details” on your dog’s page. Browse for the picture on your PC, add it and then click “update”. You must be logged in to Doglost to do this. Alternatively, email a picture to admin@doglost.co.uk giving your dog’s ID number, or name and postcode, and someone will upload it for you. As soon as a photo is added mailings will be sent out to all local helpers who will help in the search for your dog. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
