There has never been any news of what happened to Dizzy despite continuous work by her owner to find her. I hope she is happy, wherever she is.

Thanks for all that help Maggie. I think that the owner has done everything possible, but there are no sightings and no news of Dizzy.

Oh her owners could also put a advetisment on gumtree and surrounding areas, its free!! Loads of people use that to sell stuff, worth doing. They should put a ad in the local papers here too.Have they contacted the local dog warden here? SSPCA? rescue centres?Last edited: 2010-07-17 23:14:21 by Maggie

I have given a poster to my dog walker and she will put it in her van for all to see and will keep a look out for her. I have also been told that there was some travellers in the area on the weekend she went missing and were moved on the same weekend. I have put a pic up on my group on FB and also a group which covers my area.Have her owners notified the local police here? vets? i have another group on FB which ive put resecue sites, local councils ect, places to put a ad.Will keep posting her poster, hope they find her soon :)

Spoke to Dizzy's owner today and there have been no sightings. He thinks she has been stolen now. There were many people not from the local area present at the time, so she could be further afield now.Last edited: 2010-07-17 18:43:58 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

Maggie
Hi, Sorry i've just found this amoung my mails, sorry for the delay.. I had to do a search on google, tho i've lived here for a while i didn't know where abouts that was but do now.. I will print off some posters and try and try and get them put around, however i've had a operation on my foot so can't get up to the shops, sorry. I will give one to my dog walker, who is walking my dog for me at the moment. You should get some posters put up at Wallace vets, golf vets, local pet shop, all the shops here. Ppl here are very dog friendly and will keep there eyes open or your dog.

Don't know if this would be any help but were you walking Dizzy on the Barry Buddon range? A couple of years ago I lost a dog there and it was found down a hole at the rifle range - where the soldiers stand to fire at the targets. This was a Cairn and she was just a puppy and couldn't get out but luckily was found by another dog walker. Just a thought.

Photo of Dizzy on it's way. Will be sending poster to Scottish rescues ASAP. Owner has told me today that he has dug right down the rabbit hole and she is definitely not there, so she has come out again and made arun for it somewhere.

Hi , I’m sorry to hear Dizzy is missing. Someone will try and make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. Please email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog quoting the dog’s Doglost ID number, or upload a photo yourself on “update details” above. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days, so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog & give them a poster. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
