Great news and a very lucky find! Hope he is well and soon gets over his adventure and that extra lengths are taken to ensure that he does not go walk about again! Welcome home Taz!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There has also been a report this evening of a man knocking at a lady's house on the night Taz escaped who said he had just found a Yorkshire Terrier and asking if the dog was hers. He said the dog was in his car and he may well have been with the lady who we have also heard had been knocking on doors trying to find who the found dog belonged to. The man said he had contacted the police who told him to take the dog to Bawtry. There is not a stray kennels at Bawtry and the owners had already checked with the RSPCA at Bawtry and I am sending them the details for the Mayflower Sanctuary which is also there. The owners postering is bringing in information which is good and hopefully the finders or someone who knows them will see the posters and bring news which will bring Taz bck to his family who are all missing him.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am so pleased that you have taken my advice to letter box drop. Posters are great but nothing beats one being thrust into the hands of the very people you want to be aware of your missing dog. This will encourage your neighbours to actively look out and ask around. The more people aware of Taz the better. Good luck and I hope you have news very soon. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just spoken with the owners Mum and advised a letter box drop throughout the small estate on which they reside. Owner is having difficulty updating the dogs details with the Microchip company, have advised there. Please make sure that posters are distributed throughout the 'village' and target the 'Bullring' shops particularly. I have family who live on the same street as the owners ( they helped me in my search for Koko) and have just spoken to them to ask for help on the streets. If no news is heard I will do my best to travel up this weekend and assist. Please do persist with the microchip company and get correct details to them as soon as possible. Good luck!Last edited: 2010-04-30 16:44:00 by Dan and Koko

Sorry to hear of this. I wish I was in Thorne this weekend to help, but have passed his details on to family and friends in Thorne and Moorends. What street has he gone missing from and where was he supposed to have been picked up?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We have had reports that a lady picked Taz up on the day he went missing and knocked at houses nearby to where she found him asking if anyone knew who he belonged to. She was advised to contact the dog warden etc but fo far there is no record of this being done !Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The phone number on both Taz'z tag and microchip are out of date and I have advised his owners to contact the chipping company as a matter of urgency to inform them he is missing and to have these details updated.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Taz escaped when a garden gate was left open and was seen running along the roadside shortly afterwards but since then there has been no word of him. The dog warden, local vets and stray kennels have been contacted and I have advised his owners to keep checking with them and also visit the stray kennels in person. They have been postering and will do more to make as much public awareness as possible. Hoping to see Taz back home again very soon ~ PamLast edited: 2010-04-30 14:24:52 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
