Thanks Margaret Ann. There are a number of dogs have gone missing in East Kilbride. Seems to be a hotspot for stolen dogs.

Owner has checked this dog out on Strayaid and it is not Maggie unfortunately. Let's all keep looking though.

There has been a posssible sighting of Maggie this morning wandering around Rockhampton Avenue, East Kilbride. Have alerted owner who will be calling the person who has called in to Doglost to let us know. I really hope it is her and she does not wander too far before the owner gets there.Last edited: 2010-05-25 16:32:43 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

Today, Sunday 23rd May, my mum was walking her westie, Heather at the very same place maggie went missing. My mum stopped to talk to someone and when she turned around Heather was gone, it is unlike heather to wander far as she is quite old and its not in her nature. We all searched but there was no sign of her. She went missing at 10am. My mum called the police station and Heather had been handed in, this was about 11am, they found her outside HMV in the middle of the shopping mall! very scared..something strange is going on in EK - we are awaiting CCTV footage to find out further details....could this be connected?Last edited: 2010-05-23 23:04:32 by mollypup

Have had contact with Maggie's owner, and despite newspaper coverage, posters and fliers, there is still no sign of Maggie, I am sorry to say. There have been a lot of thefts in the Glasgow area lately and East Kilbride also. Please be aware and be very vigilant. NEVER leave your dog unattended ANYWHERE!

There is a West Highland terrier on here picked up on 14/04/10. Stated to be male but may be wise to check? http://www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=8141Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
