Why won't they investigate this. Are they giving a reason why not?I wonder what more can be done to convince them they must persue this and find the person responsible. How did the petition go? there must  be many signatures. Has any-one any further ideas on this. We must not give up on Billy.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I demand to know WHY they are not , you should go to the local TV station and get national new papers involved in this, why people can get away with murder. bloody angry what are we paying for. This is a matter to be taken up with MP's to be discussed in the house of Lords, killers of animals next kidsLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We now know that Billy died of a fractured skull, consistent with being beaten around the head.  We are pursuing the police and RSPCA, but they continue to refuse to investigate.   A second dog has been found dead in another part of Enfield.  I have seen the photographs of the body and he appeared to have been hanged.   http://www.enfieldindependent.co.uk/news/localnews/5036302.Dog_found_dead_and_lashed_to_lamppost_with_chain/Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

New information.  I have now seen Billy's body and have posted two lookalike photographs.  Imagine them with a black tail and slightly longer fur.  Billy's post mortem takes place later this week.  I was able to stroke him and say sorry.  He is definitely a jack russell cross and not a spaniel type as previously thought.  Please bump up if possible.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well done Sally & Co. go for it!  I am to far away to help.  Had I have been closer I would have been there with a megaphone to hopefully let even more people know and maybe get even more media coverage.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is so horrible. How can anyone treat a dog like this? Hope a prosecution follows but I won't be holding my breath. Rest in peace, little Billy - no more pain or fear now, but you were too young to go.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This story makes me sick to the teeth when i think of all those wonderful owners out there missing their lost dogs desperate to be re united with their beloved pets, he is one very sad and sick individual, no animal ever deserves this and i cannot begin to imagine the fear poor billy went through, its scary to think that there are evil beings out there prepared to do this. God bless you billy, rest in eternal peace sweetheart, this has deeply upset me tonight. Lets pray that this creature is caught and pays big time for his actions, come on rspca show us you really do care about our animals and the cruelty some of the poor souls endure.

Let's hope this gets plenty of media attention & the RSPCA & Police will then think about taking some action. Disgusted that residents are having to pay for the postmortem, this should be done by the RSPCA. Then again this does not surprise me. RIP Billy, Run Free & Happy at the Bridge. Lots of Love waiting for you.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

That has sent a chill right down my body. If I saw someone abusing an animal it would be god help them. I can't help thinking this poor little soul probably did nothing worse than a wee wee or pooh inside, probably brought on by fear living with this lowlife. I do hope this is pursued to the end and someone is brought in front of the courts so we can all see what it looks like. Neighbours must know who did this.
Run free at the bridge sweetheart and play with all my lovely boys and girls. .

I feel sick, how can a person do this evil thing, Poor, poor little darling, he must have been so frightened, so scared, someone must know this person, if there is a reward offered i'm sure one of his so called friends would be only to quick to name him. Money may be a way of finding this scumbag. So sorry sweetheart that you never knew love on this earth, have fun at the bridge darling where all dogs are loved.xxxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It plays on my mind that no-one intervened, but we do not know definitive details.  a post mortem is very important to establish cause of death.  We have been told by the RSPCA that because no cause of death has been established, there is not really a case to investigate.  We hope to convince either them or the police that they must investigate, as we believe most strongly that this dog was physically abused.  There is always a point to pursuing such investigations:  if people get away with it, they will do it again.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This has made me feel sick - I can't stop thinking about it. I am so upset. I have to ask if some-one was seen dragging Billy along and then he was heard screaming, why did no-one investigate. Will a post mortem really help? The dog is dead now and obviously killed by this person. Surely the money would be better going towards a reward in helping to catch the evil fiend responsible. I really hope that he can be caught and bought to justice.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well done Sally (and the other residents) for taking a stand on this and fighting on behalf of poor Billy for his killer to be brought to justice, just wish the authorities would take it as seriously, I hope you get the outcome we all want.  Run free dear Billy, no more pain now.x.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Good luck to the resdents in trying to find this dogs killer.  What is going on in this country?....so much violence to humans and violence to innocent animals.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I need to make clear that Billy was found dead.  The person that dumped him is believed to have killed him first.  RSPCA and police have refused to do post mortem, so a group of residents (Facebook group "Can you help identify the Winchmore Hill Dog Killer?") are paying for a post mortem.  We are petitioning the police to urge them to fully investigate.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Poor little guy- is there a possibility of a photo and where is he now?  [Taken from circumstances box]Billy (concerned people have named him this) was found dumped behind Capitol House in Winchmore Hill N21.  Reports that he was dragged along by a man the previous night and heard screaming in terror shortly after.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
