FABULOUS NEWS!!!!
Alice AKA Penny has been re-united with her owner, a poster campaign around the area she was found alerted him to where she was. Neither the Vet nor the RSPCA who originally picked her up had reported her as a found dog! her owner came to see her this afternoon and it was plain that Penny was indeed his dog, tears all roundand before he left I microchipped her  *grin*
A big thank you to snoopdog for her kind offer of a home, I have repled this evening to tell you the news. You are all such caring people it makes me proud to be part of this lovely community.

Hi there I have emailed the rescue centre as I would be extremely interested in discussing this dog as looking for a forever home for her. She seems to have had a really sad time lately and needs lots of TLC. Fingers crossed we get an email back. Thanks for patching her up FDR. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi all, this little lass has come into my careyesterday following her apprearence at Vale Vets in Kidderminster, looks like an RTA , many scruffs to her body and face and two largge wounds to inside hind leg and outside hind leg, these wounds look at least 10 days old . She was wearing a brightly coloured fabric collar, the wounds had vbecome infected and it was touch and go whether she would survive, intervention by Wyre Forest District Council (God Bless 'em) prevented her destruction.
She is nervous and agressive at present, probably due to trauma. She is responding to care and gentle handling and I had a wag of the tail this morning!
She has a very small patch of white hair to the lower lip, no other markings I would guess her age to be between 2-3 years. She remains in my care and then on Monday 4th January comes into the ownership of Forest Dog Rescue, remaining in my care.
