Jane W - thanks for posting this. It is very unlikely that Jock's owner will be still be following this page and is unlikely to see your message. If no-one else follows this up, I will try tomorrow by phoning the contact numbehrs listed (of course such a long time ago they could now be out of service). At least whoever has Jock now is taking care of him by having him groomed by you.

Hello. Im a dog groomer in Port Talbot and today I groomed a Westie called Jock. He was in very bad condition and the owners had recently ‘acquired’ him from somebody who ‘gave’ him to her kids. The reason I looked on here is because of the unusual circumstances in which she got the dog, the poor state he was in and also because i believe that she was of the travelling persuasion. Its a complete long shot but this dog was called Jock. Im sorry that I dont have any photo’s but he was white with a docked tail.

the dog from the link below has gone,owner,you may have to phone them to find out the whereabouts of the dog,it was a male and looked like it had been out a while.was found in camarthenshire.

just spoken to owner, and they have looked at picture,Jocks coat is realy strait and this one has a few curls,but i explained appearance of coat could look like this as hes been out so long,the resembalance of his face is similar though and they will be calliong about this found dog.

Found 21 dec - male westie in Cefncaeau, Llanelli Wales. Dog id ref -Gel 041073 CCC451. Now with Carmarthenshire DW. Tel nos 01267 234567. ( Distance is about 40ish miles from where Jock missing ? ) Hope you have good news of Jock soon, good luck.

Hi, I'm a dog warden and it may be a long shot but we have had a stray westie that we haven't been able to catch as he is nervous. This am the Police reported that he was hanging around the garage by Weycock Lane (the 5 mile lane) in Barry. We haven't seen him but he was seen last Friday on the estate behind Tescos on Port Rd, Barry. No one has reported him missing. My colleague has seen him and said he has a long body for a Westie. He was wet at the time so difficult to access coat. If you could provide us with a mobile 'phone no we could liase with the owner if they thought it worthwhile. Caroline
