There is a black lab on dogsblog today which has a scar on her leg.  It doesn't say on here which leg had the scar from the electric fence, but it might be worth the owners having a quick look.  The dog on dogsblog is described as being a year old, but as she's a stray that may well not be accurate?

There is still no sign of Emma.  Farmers in area are all aware and looking out for her, and posters are up.  Do hope Emma will turn up safely - someone must know where she is. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to the owner and Emma wandered off from home. They live in a rural area so she may have been picked up by someone. Dog Wardens and all local vets have been notified. The area has been heavily postered. There will be an advert in the East Anglia Daily newspaper tomorrow and Radio Suffolk has been giving out Emma's details regularly since she went missing. I have sent General information sheet and contact numbers for Suffolk and Norfolk Vets. Have also sent contact numbers for Rescue centres. Stay safe Emma until you are found xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi I?m sorry to hear EMMA is missing.
Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres?local council stray dogs holding kennel give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars.., If you can go down there each day to check for your dog that is the best thing as they only have to hold a dog for 7 days before it can legally be rehomed or in some cases destroyed. It is also worth contacting the local police as if someone has found your dog they may well have contacted them.
email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo please if you haven?t already.
You can only print posters when you are signed in.
Get postering now?..as quickly and as many as you can physically manage. make sure you offer a reward on the posters.
POSTER POSTER POSTER!!!?I cannot emphasize how important this is, from the posters you will get sightings and lots of extra pairs of eyes looking out for your dog.
Poster bus stops, train stations, supermarket/retail park car parks, pet shops petrol stations, lay by snack vans, service stations, bins, poo bins, shopping centres, take away outlets, pubs, lamposts, caf?s, leisure centre?s,??.basically anywhere people go you need to poster like mad so nobody misses them? ask in as many places as you can if they will display a poster for you.
Tell postman and binmen and give them a poster so they have your phone no handy? infact tell every single person you meet while searching as the more people know the much better chance of getting your dog back quickly.
Contact the local newspaper and radio stations? take out an advert with a photo in the papers pets section lost and found and make sure you offer a reward!.
If you believe your dog has been stolen then it is very important you contact the police for a crime reference number?. And the postering publicity should have the aim of not only getting your dog home but making it too hot to handle. Cross posted to www.labradorforums.co.uk http://www.labradorforums.co.uk/ftopicp-1092896.html#1092896 Good luck xx
