This one is chipped to a Mrs C bell in Suffolk, but not seen the vet for 3yrs. If that is Boris' history maybe aftr he went missing:

FOUND - handed into Reading (Berks) vet 1.12.09. after being attacked by another dogblack Labrador type???. He is microchiped to an address in Portugal but enquiries have failed to trace owner. Poster displayed in the area have also failed to get a response.
Any information please make urgent contact with Gill or Sooz (Dog Warden Service) on either 0118 939 0251 or 0118 939 0564 (9am-5pm Mon - Fri).

I've seen a poster up at Tesco Loudwater so word seems to be getting around. I'm on holiday next week, but will ensure posters displayed at work (council offices in Amersham) on my return, if he's not home before then x

I have bumped up Boris as it is beleived that he was Stolen and sold ...so someone probably has bought him by now and has no idea he belongs to Brett, please call his owner or doglost in confidence if you prefer

Boris is still missing - police believe possible evidence of travellers taking dog and selling on somewhere outside of Oxfordshire.  Please alert your contacts to be on the lookout for anyone who gets a new 6 month labrador puppy. Thanks, Brett.

"Thanks for this ? we have postered, been on front page of local press, have placed ads, even had a spot on bbc radio oxford today with animalfinders.co.uk, alerted dog wardens, got the police on the case, been round  local pubs offering reward etc.
The issue I believe is that once stolen he will have been taken out of area and feel our only hope is that he is sold and eventually taken to a vet by the unwitting new owner and scanned." Owner is working really hard to find Boris and needs helpers to keep a look out in the freeads & in certain places where we find stolen dogs,

This is so sad can anyone help please by putting up posters, spreading the word checking Rescues and Pounds (Boris is chipped) checking out Fairs (there is one next Thursday 22/10 at Stow) , Car Boots etc please.

Dog on K9 is not Boris owner has checked it out thanks.  Given owner advice.  Boris was definately stolen.  CRN obtaineddw, vets etc. all advised.  this dog has 4 children breaking their hearts over it.  Please watch out and call if you have information.

Hi Im not sure if this is the right email add. Ive tried to post a comment on Boris page but it wont let me (am logged in) there is just little dots round edge of comment box. On K9searchuk.com pound 1 near bottom of page named Reggae on there. There is a approx 6 month old black lab been found in Lye, Dy9.  Finder held dog for 3 weeks. He is due for release today 12th. I have sent a text to owner but wanted to put a message on page also. Hope this turns out to be Boris. PA   e mail recieved at admin.

Hi I?m sorry to hear your dog is missing.
Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres?local council stray dogs holding kennel give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars.., If you can go down there each day to check for your dog that is the best thing as they only have to hold a dog for 7 days before it can legally be rehomed or in some cases destroyed. It is also worth contacting the local police as if someone has found your dog they may well have contacted them.

You can only print posters when you are signed in.
Get postering now?..as quickly and as many as you can physically manage. make sure you offer a reward on the posters.
POSTER POSTER POSTER!!!?I cannot emphasize how important this is, from the posters you will get sightings and lots of extra pairs of eyes looking out for your dog.
Poster bus stops, train stations, supermarket/retail park car parks, pet shops petrol stations, lay by snack vans, service stations, bins, poo bins, shopping centres, take away outlets, pubs, lamposts, caf?s, leisure centre?s,??.basically anywhere people go you need to poster like mad so nobody misses them? ask in as many places as you can if they will display a poster for you.
Tell postman and binmen and give them a poster so they have your phone no handy? infact tell every single person you meet while searching as the more people know the much better chance of getting your dog back quickly.
Contact the local newspaper and radio stations? take out an advert with a photo in the papers pets section lost and found and make sure you offer a reward!.
If you believe your dog has been stolen then it is very important you contact the police for a crime reference number?. And the postering publicity should have the aim of not only getting your dog home but making it too hot to handle.
