This dog was seen running scared through Little Staughton heading towards Keysoe across the fields on Saturday. We went out with leads to try to catch him but he just kept running.There has been lots of shooting around here during the harvest, I wonder if he is a gun dog.

There are 2 springers missing in the hertfordshire area as i've seen the posters i know they were stolen so i will look at the posters tomorrow don't know any details so will check you never know

just a question.. who can dock springers tails? any way of tracing local breeders like this? i know a man who works for DEFRA in this area and i am sure i have had a conversation with him about tail docking.

i know 3 dog groomers from this area and theres shuttleworth (was/is a grooming college) nearby so a lot of groomers potentially to contact, have spoken to one and she hasnt groomed a young one lately, will phone the other 2 tomorrow and ask them and also phone a local breeder i know who runs the bird of prey centre at shuttleworth and who can prob put me in touch with the right person at the college to speak to re the groomers. fingers crossed someone will know something.

Yes it is Keysoe Bedfordshire I have emailed Springer rescues also to see if they have any lost dogs reported. The dog has been hand stripped relatively recently and had paws trimmed so has an aowner somewhere. Locals didnt recognise him I am sure he'll come round to be fab dog once hes got over this trauma . He was very scared but not once di he growl or show his teeth he just froze . Very slim ribs visible so may have been without food for a bit.

is this keysoe in bedfordshire? this is very near me and i can try and get the word out as much as poss.if the rescue/ pound needs him moving into emergency shelter i can accomodate him after the 7 days is up til a place is found for him.

Copied from circumstances box:  Found straying and terrified by side of road in next village to mine ie Keysoe . Took sometime to catch. Very thin, would have been under a car oil marks around back of neck back legs, greasy and very smelly coat so tired kept doing neck breakers whilst trying to stay awake.Light brown almost amber eyes beautiful clean teeth taken to local authority kennel so only seven days to find owner
