So this DW does not check this site or notice any posters then, or post their found on any web sites and I am sure the owner contacted the Dog Warden!

What fantastic news this lovely little lad is back home safe and sound.. Please no more leaving him tied up outside the shop.  Its a cruel cruel world where we have to live amongst such disgusting creatures that get a kick out of distressing these poor people even more with their evil calls, I parked in a town car park yesterday to find someone had left their little terrier in the back, they had left the windows down, but that accounts for nothing I informed the car parking attendant and left a note on the car, asking do they realise that dogs not only die in cars but they get stolen from also.

Jacks owner has just called me with the story. A lady went along to Babbington Rescue kennels looking for a dog to rehome. She picked out the one she wanted and later went to a pet shop to buy food and bowls and she saw Jacks missing poster, recognised him as one of the dogs she had viewed at the kennels and phoned his owners. It turns out the dog warden had picked him up on Saturday and handed in him to the kennels. POSTERS POWER worked again.

e mail in admin to say Jack is back! No details as yet but I am so pleased as owners have had a roller coaster week...ransom calls, the threat of delivering Jack back served up in a Chinese meal...yes their are some sick people out there. also had police involvement at one stage.

Just been talking to the owner, she is distraught after receiving a sick phone call. Am waiting for her husband to call me back as they think Jack may be in Lincolnshire.

Jack is in this evenings Nottinghamshire post.  Owner had a call late last night demanding ?200 for Jack back.

Thanks Springer-Jane I have checked out the Choc Springer (actualy I think Working Cocker) found in Yorkshire not Cognac I think but have alerted owner , this little guy has also been posted on Cockers On Line, Nessr and IT's A Springthing Spaniel forums so many peeps looking at him as I speak, The Cornish Cocker no deatails again although Choc tends to be Cocker if you get any more details on this one send to Jayne (as before)  and we will check it out.
I really appreciate your help I am a Springer person BTW.
Poor Jack about time he was found not your average Springer type so not easy to conceal by the tealeaf so he may as well give Jack up,,,,PLEASE!

according to alfies lost dogs it was outside the snooker hall that Jack was stolen from http://www.alfieslostdogs.com/bb/index.php/topic,23097.0.html and there is also a thread leading off from this where there is a choc springer been found today- can only see the face really though so cant tell markings- dog looks mostly plain chocolate but worth double checking

Photo is coming via the post...hopefully tomorrow.   Owner has put some posters up locally...have advised him of other places to poster. He has been told by the network that they cannot retrieve witheld mobile numbers.......Well maybe not to him but certainly to the police...and he has a crime number...Insisted he goes back to the police and let them look into it.

Poor Jack, stolen outside a shop !!!!! So many dogs are stolen and from outside shopsthese days
Perhaps when the thief realises the Police will be feeling his collar very soon as he is an idiot & a scumbag , Jack will be dumped so get those posters up ASAP!!!

CCTV footage of a youth running past dog then 30 seconds later coming back un hooking dog from lead and carry him away...cannot have gone far as dog weighs 3 and 1/2 kilos. Owner has had 2 calls from said youth arranging to meet but he has not turned up...said he found the dog and its a bit of a handful???? Photo coming via the post.
