Zak's owners had a call from a man saying he had Zak and asking for the reward. Zak is now home safe and sound. He is going for a chip and his kennel area is now super secure !!!  Welcome home Zak and stay safe from now on xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Zaks owners called me this morning and there has been no word at all of Zak. Its is felt he would make his own way home if he could and they are now very worried. They have searched widely, postered informed vets, dog wardens etc. PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR ZAK ! Pam xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

rang owner (might be when phone engaged Pam )    Zak is usually kennelled outside but as owners were at work when it thundered/lightening when they got back he had escaped by chewing his way out from the kennel. Zak is a fit dog for his age   It is a very rural area and son has been out (and was still out)postering when I rang.  Dog warden, police and the local vets have been notified. Zak didnt have a collar on and isnt microchipped so have advised owners to check IN PERSON regularly with the local kennels and have stressed the importance of checking them regularly due to the 7 day rule re the stray pounds.  Posters are so important... and owners are putting loads out in the area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owners I am so sorry to see that Zak has gone missing and thankyou for registering him on doglost. Pease make sure you contact your local dog warden and stray kennels and keep checking back with them as often as you can. By law stray kennels only have to keep a dog for 7 days before rehoming or sending them on to a rescue which can be anywhere in the country ! It is VITAL that you poster as much as you can to raise all the public awareness possible and please do this ASAP. I have tried to call you this evening but yur phone was engaged so will try later. I hope that Zak is home again very soon Pam xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
