Owner has replied with the great news Toffee is HOME. They were contacted by the RSPCA size months after he went missing, reunited via his CHIP. Owner would like to pass on her thanks to DL. Welcome home Toffee and into the BLUE you go. Jan x

Thanks tazmo007 it in in the area of Leigh Cat & Dogs Home.  Owner's have been checking with the kennels and visiting them, that is where he would be taken to if picked up and handed into the DW etc.  Lots of open fields in the area.  Owner said Toffee is a nervous BC.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Isn't that right next to Leigh Cats and Dogs home? Can they be any help? where do you usually walk Toffee? I could maybe come down and walk my dogs near there at the weekend if still needed, keep an eye out and hand out posters. Obviously, I hope Toffee is home before then, but just as a backup plan...

22.00 hrs  Spoken to owner who has not long got in from searching for him.  Owner is doing the right things and has been getting the posters out and handing out smaller ones.  They have been getting sightings in the area.  There was a phonecall tonight of a sighting on Warrington Road at approx 17.25.  This is not far from owners home, but Warrington Road is a long road.  Have advised owner on what to expect when seeing him and how to act if he does not recognise them. Toffee jumped over the garden fence.  The DW and authorities have been contacted.  Have given owner some further advice and will also email further info/advice a.s.a.p.  Also sending SCENTING/MAPPING Instructions in case they are needed.  Fingers crossed he is found soon.  Jan x   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Vic, sorry to see Toffee is missing.  Thanks for registering his details on doglost, we will do all we can to help you in your search.   You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of postering.  Once a photo has been uploaded posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).  How has he gone missing from home or on a walk? Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.   Great he has been Chipped if not already to contact the Chip Co and report hime missing and that his details are up to date.  Please update on who has been contacted, DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
