Your dog is unusual, should be easy to spot- stands out. I will keep an eye out for you. My dog is Midge from Pontypridd, please have a look. Your dog is lovely. I will ask my brother to look on lost dogs to view your dog because he runs a shop in St Mellons- florist, He breeds these dogs and would have a definate eye for this breed. He told me only a few months ago about how rife dog thieving is in Cardiff, particualarly this breed. Good luck. Allison

Only just read this story. I'm so sorry for what the poor owners must be going though, her ninth dog to be stolen!! I'm lost for words. I hope you get some news soon. Having lost my Luci (28/01/05) I know the pain that you are going through & will help any way I can. This is so devastating. A leaflet about the importance of scanning all dogs for chips can be found at www.important.freeservers.com then the links page and you'll see the bit about chips - you do need adobe acrobat reader (a free download from their website) to read it.

Have just been sent a copy of the Echo-not only front page but the entire page 3 as well with a huge colour poster. Unfortunately they only left the police as a contact-I tried to ring them and after 20 minutes was still on waiting list-makes you wonder if others have been trying to and cannot get through. Will phone the Cardiff helper and find out more.

e-bay has a ban on live animal ads - when it's spotted it will be removed. PM me with your email address and I'll email you a leaflet to pass out to vets asking them to check all new 'patients' for chips and then to check the chip database

Any news yet on Molly? What a really sorry story and what a really bad experience for the owners. Can I help at all.although I live too far south,but then again they could be anywhare! Great coverage on the front page of The South Wales Echo last night. And a small lead one og the helpers was putting up posters in the area and a lady was certain she had seen a young couple with a Chihuahua in a nearby shopping centre-so that area is being covered today.

I have now had contact from the BBC following my request for some Publicity for Molly, asking for her owners contact details which I have given. Fingers crossed for some good publicity here.

Hi James-good idea- I have just been on the site-I suggest you add a guest book so people can say they are looking out and what part of the country they are from. If the theives read about Molly and the website in Todays Wales on Sunday, the first thing they are going to do is log on here and when they see Molly's details are being spread over the whole country it may make them think twice!!!!

We were at the show Dobie Exh when little molly was taken, and did go and search the car park and stopped and checked cars as they left but to no avail. I will post the details with Showdogsuk. I will also put her details on my own website.

The Wales on Sunday will be covering this story and have also been on to the TV companies. We have done an automatis mailing of poster to all vets,petshops,kennels,Dog wardens and helpers 30 miles around the area.

Owner can be contacted through us on 01909 733366. This owner had 6 Chihuahua's stolen in February this year and previously another two! This is the ninth Chihuahua to be stolen!! A young couple about 19 years old were seen to be making a fuss of her 5 minutes before owner realised Molly had been stolen. Photo will be on site when owner returns home to Wiltshire.Automatic mailing of the Cardiff area will be done when photo is on site.
