"Update on Link:
Thank you, everybody, for your support. You gave Link the voice he does not have. I’m so grateful for all the assistance all of you gave. Without it, Link might have never made it home.
There were many people working in the background, ensuring Link’s story was shared. They worked like a machine. I have no idea how they did it.
On average, every day Link was missing. I walked 20 Km on most days, with the highest day recording 40 Km, and drove around 1,000 miles. I would not give up.
What was the breakthrough was a Facebook user with a keen eye noticed someone made a post trying to re-home Link. This, along with other information, pointed us to a single address.
It then transpires that the Police and SSPCA attended an address in East Kilbride in the area of interest recently to remove a Doberman. After some checks, the Doberman was later identified as Link by his chip. The police and SSPCA shared with me a lovey story about a police officer adoring Link and disappearing with him for a walk before he was taken to the rescue centre.
Link was checked by the vet at the SSPCA centre, and he was in good health with no concerns. He is stealing in well back at home.
Everyone that has interacted with Link has said the same thing “he is so lovely”.
