Thank you for posting on Cara's page it really does give support to owners that are going through a similar ordeal as what you have just experienced Glad to hear the lovely Ronin is getting along just fine xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Fly, Just to up date every body, Ronin is more himself and is eating and drinking fine. He has to visit the vet a couple of times next week but apart from that is in good spirits. Ive left comment to Cara's owners, sounds like they are getting close to finding their girl. Saw her owners are also informing Rhodesian Ridgeback Clubs, there are five of these. Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britian , Midland & Northen RRC, Southern RRC, RRC of Scotland and the  RRC of Ireland. All have really good websites. Scenting works, Ronin is proof, good luck to all who are still searching for their babies. xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

How lovely to see beautiful Ronin back home again. Hope is well and strong soon. What an ordeal but owner and DL did great and got a well deserved result. Isn't it great to see the names in the blue, very positive. If we build on these successes and pass the word things will get better and better!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just an up date, Ronin saw the vet this morning, he has had treatment for his cuts and is on anti-biotics and painkillers. The vet is confident he will make a full recovery with lots of tender love and care. Again thanks to all the support.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is just brilliant news - I'm so happy for Ronin's owners. What a handsome boy he is?!!! Owners, well done for taking on board all Helen's great advice, as not all owners are able to do that. It was also good to hear that Ronin was both chipped and tagged, even though neither forms of ID helped to get in home on this occasion it was so reassuring to have it there as back up. I hope Ronin's sore pads, cuts and grazes soon heal and that he will put his 'mini-adventure' well and truly behind him!

Thanks to all for help & support in getting Ronin home. He is very tired and has a couple of cuts and blisters on all four pads. He has lost a lot of weight, but you could see the relief on his face when we finally met again. He is seeing the vet in the morning and I will post a reunited photo when he is settled. Again thanks and love to all for your help, I really thought we were destined for an unhappy ending. I hope this gives hope for other dog owners still awaiting news and my thoughts are with you all xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just had a very happy owner on the phone. This lovely boy is home!! She had a call from some-one and found him asleep on a muck heap!! With a little careful planning he was happily re-united albeit a bit smelly!! Michaela said he is exhausted and is limping (will be seeing a vet tomorrow) but apart from that he seems to be fine. WELCOME HOME xxx Give him a cuddle from me xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I would like to thank Helen for her advice, I will keep everybody updated on our progress on finding our little boy. I would like also to thank the individuals in Easton village who have been so supportive too. Fingers crossed!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is great news and very encouraging. I'm sure Ronin has picked up owners scent, and although he is feeling spooked and afraid, he knows its a familiar smell, and will keep around there now. Owners sound very sensible and have listened well to get this result. A parked familiar smelling car, and a portable barbeque cooking sausages might be just too much to resist. Good luck for tomorrow. I'm sure ronin will be home soon, but please be patient. You cannot rush this. Good advice Helen.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Had a call from the owner and Ronin has been sighted close to where he went missing. A feeding station has been set up along with Ronin's bedding and toys. The owner has scented the area and has taken her other dogs to that area as well. Have also advised the owner on how to re-act if Ronin comes close to her. No eye contact, stay low to the ground, make soft whimpering sounds etc. Come on Ronin time to come home xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have also advised the owner to leave bedding, food and water in a safe place away from the roads in the hope that Ronin stays in the area Stay safe until you are found xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to the owner in depth. Ronin has been sighted a few times locally around Easton 4 miles from where he went missing. Unfortuately many people have tried to catch him making him very nervous Have advised the owner to poster the area heavily and also advised on scenting. Local dog wardens have been contacted Taxi drivers, postmen and bin men have also been alerted as Ronin seems to move around early morning Will E-mail dog warden information and scenting information PLEASE DO NOT APPROACH THIS DOG AS HE IS VERY NERVOUS. PLEASE CONTACT THE OWNER IF RONIN IS SIGHTED phone number is on the postersLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
