Great that he's now back with his owners.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This does not look like hair loss on his left side. it is not unusual for Goldens to have black hair patches; it is a throw back to their ancestors. Mine has a large patch too. How great that this old fella has been safely reunited. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

YAY!  Good news about lost Goldie. Just had a phone call from one of the vets. A lady phoned and said she had lost a Goldie that fits the description. She had been phoning the police and dog warden throughout the day - both of whom I had phoned and notified - but with no luck. Just as well I also notified the vets...Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you for cross posting.  He really is a very lovely and friendly boy.  He has just been collected by the dog warden service for Vale of the White Horse District Council. Really hope he is reunited soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've cross posted to my Golden Retriever lists. Its very strange about the hair loss on both flanks. Hope this boy is re-united with his owners soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Bunter for the update, my boy Max was just like him, he sadly passed away at 13 years.  Good luck.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have contacted both local vets and had him scanned.  Also notified the police in case anyone reports him missing.  I have reported him to the out of hours dog warden and awaiting a call back about him. He can't stay here as I have two foster dogs already I hope someone is looking for him as he is very friendly.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Bunter well done for putting this boy on DL and uploading very clear pictures, you are a star.  Weird about the hair loss.  Have you contacted the DW?  You can also contact vets after the Easter break if you still have him.  Fingers crossed his owners are found soon.  Please keep us updated on where he is.  Thanks Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
