Check ALL outbuildings, including empty and cellars THOROUGHLY as sone cat will hide in, or behind an object within especially if timid, and cats can stay very still, and quiet when trapped. So has the cat climbed into an opened window, and is now trapped? Exiting can be difficult. It depends on the drop. They are renowned for it. This is why it`s important to to do numerous checks. Bear in mind too that cats have very flexible spines so they can squeeze into very small spaces (About 2"/3" wide) Check trees; any decking too. Place his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, and leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing lie if dry; used towels too. DO NOT put the litter tray outside as other cats may se it, and it could upset and confuse the cat.. Take good walks around the area holding an object with his scent on and rattle some Dreamies. Someone may be feeding the cat (Common problem) When searching for the cat use the same deodorant say that you use on a day to day basis as he will recognize the scent and your the one he trusts. Is there a dominant cat in the area? As sometimes the will chase a less dominant out of it`s own territory. However the chased cat will not return until the think it`s "Safe" enough for them to do so. Up to 80% of cats climb into vehicles. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Ask around especially families with children as they (Children) can be very observant, Paws xd.Last edited: 2022-05-10 07:35:28 by TrudielovesMax!
