continued from below..
and her tail started wagging
Just at that point, the police helicopter, India99 was above the trap, Pebbles started trembling. We had to act quickly but calmly to get her out of the trap and into a crate to transfer her to the car
Heather's daughter India immediately volunteered to go in the trap with Pebbles and get slip leads on her ready for transfer
With India99 above and India,13 below, inside the trap, she soon had slip leads on Pebbles and carefully carried her to the waiting crate
As soon as her crate was home and the door open, her best buddy Willow was all over her long lost friend, an emotional facetime call made to mum Julie at work to give her the good news, and Pebbles was straight back to her normal self, completely oblivious to what she's put her family through the last 7 days

Safely trapped just after 8pm Friday night after 6 nights out on her adventure around Warrington
Pebbles was visiting relatives on Saturday 29th January in the Birchwood area. Unfortunately, her lead was dropped as she entered the house and she instantly grabbed the opportunity to run out the front door and start her very own mystery tour
Her lead and collar were found nearby a short time after her escape, so a small relief that she wasn't going to get caught up by it
Gemma Hardbarker from Doglost was immediately on the case, with initial advice, publicity and putting together "Team Pebbles" to assist with getting her safe
Heather Cake , and The Lost Dog Trapping Team - UK Search & Rescue Network were engaged to support alongside Doglost.
Sightings were coming in almost daily around the commercial areas of Birchwood including the train station
Once Pebbles had slowed down her tour of the town, a camera was placed with a feeding station on Thursday
Pebbles didn't show at the camera Thursday night but sightings came in advising she was extremely close by that night, but on the wrong side of the train tracks!
We did however manage to capture on camera, most of the outdoor cats in Warrington with over 100 pictures taken on the camera, eating the food left out for Pebbles
Rather than choosing to chill on a beach like most Pebbles, this one decided she was going to play chicken with the trains and was seen jumping out of the way of trains to get either side of the tracks
More sightings late Thursday and early Friday, including one lady who had seen Pebbles in a farmers field from her train journey, the opposite side of the train station
Pebbles was dicing with death, train tracks, roads, and within spitting distance from the M6, had become her playground
A decision was made to feed her in the farmers field and use scent to draw her away from the rails. Heather went over Friday lunchtime and laid a scent trail from trackside all the way to Woolston nursery, where the owner Gloria had assisted the team with permission to access the area
Heather is amazing at assisting with any missing dogs locally, but not so good at choosing good weather. She went out in freezing conditions, pouring rain and a hailstorm to lay the scent trail, assisted by Gravy Dave, in making more scent to complete the trail
Heather had also left a pile of food at the nursery at the end of the scent trail. Hungry Pebbles followed the trail all the way and spent 30 minutes eating on Friday afternoon just after Heather left, all reported to the team by Gloria watching from a safe distance
Friday evening around 6:30pm, a trap was set up with 3 cameras and an absolutely awesome buffet inside. It was 50/50 whether she would go to the trap early, if at all, after feeding in the afternoon
Pebbles owner Stu, Heather, her daughter India and myself all left the trap area at 7:30pm, with a plan in place. Expecting her at the trap around 2am as most normal dogs get trapped in the early hours, we all headed home to await the camera notifications
Pebbles had other ideas, she allowed Stu and Heather to get home, and she let me get 3 minutes from home, and decided she was still hungry.
At 8:06pm she had a sniff round the trap, walked in calm as anything and triggered the door. Pebbles was safe.
Her owner Stu was there within minutes, closely followed by Heather and India then myself
Pebbles was incredibly calm in the trap, carrying on eating her all-you-can-eat buffet until Stu arrived,Last edited: 2022-02-05 08:48:56 by Bo

It was found under a parked van so we think she may have caught herself on the van maybe then managed to wriggle herself out of it

As Pebbles’ harness and lead have been found, do the family think they were removed or fell off?

Melly thanks for commenting. PEBBLES has been registered by her owner and mentioned in the other info her breed. What she is crossed with is not in the drop down so have added it by her name.
