Our hearts are broken and our loss is endless.
Loki was found and returned home last night by a kind gentleman from network rail at about 2:30am
He had shot off his lead on Sunday night around 10pm chasing a fox. He got through a hole in the fence which led onto the railway line. He must have chased the fox directly over the line as he was found near the live rail but otherwise unharmed about 100m from where he disappeared.
Our only comfort is that for him, one second he was having fun with us and the next second he was having fun chasing a fox. He did not spend 1 second feeling alone, hungry, cold or frightened.
My husband and I would like to thank everyone for their kind support as we tried to search for our darling boy. If we can ask one last thing of you, please can you update and social media shares you have done and take down any posters you see. We will go round this weekend to do the same. In memory of Loki, please do continue to help with the search of other dogs who we hope are reunited with their owners under more happy circumstances.
