- Update on Grace LET GRACE'S STORY BE A LESSON
We've had the results of Grace's scans and sadly it's not good news. She has significant spinal disease. At least three sections are fused together, she has luxating patella in both legs and a lack of mobility in her hips. Unfortunately her condition is degenerative so our only option is palliative care and pain relief. Rest assured though, we'll make sure she will live her best life until then. Thank you so much to everyone who donated towards her scans.
It's shocking that Grace was being used to breed from in such a poor condition and was then cruelly abandoned. Once again we are picking up the pieces. Due to the demand for American Bully types she would have made £10,000s for her owner. It's really important to highlight the message that despite the positive introduction of Lucy's Law and new breeding legislation, backyard breeders and puppy farmers are still flourishing. We are still seeing comments from members of the public that "puppy farms are illegal now". They aren't, and low welfare breeders are still out there plying their cruel trade.
