"*** Lost Dog Found ***
Kovu was located today at roughly 4pm below the saddle of the Ben Lomond summit and the Ptarmigan Ridge.
He’s safe and well, and will need a little trip to the Vets but nothing serious.
I’d like to express my gratitude to the Ben Lomond Ranger Service who spotted him, tracked him and eventually secured him.
I’d also like to thank friends and complete strangers alike, who shared my posts (1.9k) and sent hundreds of private messages offering their support.
Please accept my apologies for not replying, I was near the summit with a low phone battery and had to prioritise.
We’ve covered hundreds of miles the last few days both on foot and by vehicle, was worth it just to see the joy in Sylwia’s face after being reunited with her Kovu.
Words cannot express how grateful we are.
Thank you 🙏🏻."

Update from member of the search team around 14.00 on 17/8):
"Hello, new update about Kowu. We have couple information about his location. Most important at this moment is that how Kowu was seen today about 12:00 running nearly path on west from Ben Lomond. We waiting for contact from that person with Point on the map. One person from us should be soon on the place and will srart looking. Sylwia "owner" is trying leaving work and Drive fast there as possible with another husky. If anyone from Drone Division live nearly Ben Lomond and would be help today find him will be good moment becouse we still have person on the path who trying observe Kowu and waiting for us".

"*** Still Missing ***
Today was mostly spent on the banks of Loch Lomond and upto the summit of Ben Lomond on the Ptarmigan Ridge looking for ‘Kovu’, who belongs to a good friend.
Kovu managed to run off yesterday (Sat 14th Aug) on the ridge.
We had drones up today and also searched along likely routes on foot including the WHW towards the Inversnaid Hotel, but, with such a vast area, he could be anywhere.
Will try again tomorrow in a different area.
All the relevant agencies have been informed.
Could I say a huge thank you to all who took the time to help today and for their kind comments.
I would be extremely grateful if you could continue to look out for Kovu on your travels.
