May be a very long shot but there is a lost tan/fawn chihuahua on ’lost Doggies uk’ from 21/12.  Area’s I know are possibly unlikely, but anything is worth a further look.  Here’s what was posted on there : 
Lost lunchtime today, escaped from the car at newhall refuse collection,swadlincote. Issie was last seen heading over the hills behind the tip. Issie is a rescue dog and is extremely timid and nervous. If anyone has seen her please contact me on 01283 210990, we really want issie home again thankyou
