- Frankie when i saw his photo I had the same thoughts as you ! I have phoned the owners and pointed out he COULD be mistaken for a cross. - What a gorgeous boy. A proper little old type working Bassett Hound without over-long ears and excess skin. You don't see many Bassett Hounds like this anymore (except where they are used for their original purpose) so he may be mistaken from a cross breed. Make sure that you supply the local wardens, shelters, vets, etc with the photograph and not just the description.

- Oliver is a FIELD BASSETT HOUND so more slimline and with less wrinkles. His owners are going to put posters up, have called vets and will be contacting the dog warden on Monday morning. Hoping this boy is home very soon xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
