Email from owner this morning, Ben unfortunatly has a displaced femural fracture so has had to be operated on but, all being well, should be home on Monday. They are so pleased to have found him so soon and thank everyone for all the help.

Very very well done Venessa!!! So so pleased ...we can stand down now!! Would be interested to know where he was found... was it near to where he went missing etc as may help another dog that goes missing... so we can know what a dog is likley to do in similiar circumstances. Thanks...xxx

Looks like could be described as retriever cross collie or ret cross spaniel so need to check out both in rescues.  Have sent his poster and details to N. Dor setand W Dorset Dog wardens in case. Posters need to be put up fast.,

Email from owner this morning We have found him!  Last night about 10pm, lying in a gully by the side of the road close to the other parking site, husband heard a whimper.  Came in straight to water bowl, wagging tail, but one back leg hanging limp.  Rang the vets who said keep him calm food and drink, taking this morning.  Strange he was not wet or muddy, so we will never know if he has been lying low or someone brought him back, but it is like a miracle the chance of finding him there. I have been overwhelmed by the kindness and incredible support from friends and locals.  So many thanks to you, I will keep you informed and when settles down send a donation. Keep up your good work. Photo now uploaded, He's beautiful! Could be more retriever cross than springer. I was originaly told by friend of owner springer x collie. Owner needs to keep on to DWs for East Dorset, Purbeck, North Dorset and West Dorset as the area he dissapeared is on the border of all of these. Mobile numer is 07939237310.
