As deaf will be all about scent. even so check ALL outbuildings THOROUGHLY in case trapped. (Sone cats will hide behind an object within, especially if timid) Bear in mind too that cats have very flexible spines, and can squeeze into very small spaces (About 2"/3" wide) So has he managed to squeeze into a partially opened window, and is now trapped? Exiting ca be difficult; depends on the drop. Some cats can still be very flexible at the age of 19/20. MY cat was. Check trees; any decking too. Check behind hedges/bushes too in case unwell. Put some strong smelling food in his dish, such as sardines/tuna or warm chicken. Place his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your ascent too. Empty litter contents onto the garden too. DO NOT leave the litter box/tray outside, as other cats may use it, and it could upset, and confuse the cat. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on all your garden fences; gates; doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Take a good walk around the area, taking with you an object with you, such as an UNWASHED blanket Also wear the same deodorant say that you use on a day to
day basis, as he will recognize the scent, and your the one he trusts. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Post in shops; post offices too. Post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper in case he has climbed into a vehicle: not uncommon for some cats to do. Is there a dominant cat in the area, as sometimes they will chase a less dominant cat out of it`s own territory. However the chased cat will not usually return, until they think it`s "Safe" enough for them to do so. Ask family, friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL> Twitter too. Paws xd that Fab Cat will be reunited very soon.Last edited: 2020-11-13 09:21:00
