We have put up new signs outside the house, with cash reward ?500 on. Somebody called to say they thought they had seen a black dog about the size of a cocker in the fields behind the house, but that when they called it it ran off. So now i am wondering is nancy still out there feral somewhere? Or did they see the missing cocker from down the road??Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dianne, did you ever manage to get in touch with the TLO re: nancy? If you do i could post out a few posters to them, or drop them in if they're local. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We received a text saying that they had found our dog, when i called them they said they'd seen him in Low Hill park. That he was quite aggressive so the son hadn't tried to pick him up. I explained it was a bitch, and very friendly, they said maybe if she had a bad back and had been roaming she was a bit aggressive. She said her son had gone back to look again. Later she said it was a male dog. Not nancy. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well we've been back to where Brandy was found and spoken to poeple who saw him that day, several people saw him, he was alone. He was hanging around all day, going from one door to another, then eventually somebody called the dog warden. There was no sign or trace of nancy. I was surprised at peoples attitude as even though we were standing there talking to them, they were saying things like 'well we couldn't have taken him in we've already got a dog etc' - ... he wasn't in need of a home he was LOST!   We've been back to gypsy camp, put posters up, and handed them out. Still no sign of ancy there.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I tried calling all the local scrap yards, they were all quite helpful but none had been offered any dogs. I have found out exactly which road brandy was found on and i am going to go back and poster this area. There are 2 school quite close I might leaflet the schools too. This confused me a bit because Bilston is'nt Rugeley. If it is Bilston near Wolverhampton you might think of visiting the scrap yards  aound here there are a few. As some-one has already said there are a few travellers around here and I have seen them at the scrap and reclaimation yards. Just a thought.

the lichfield, cannock and rugeley chronicle ran another article in the middle of the paper, which gives me hope again that it might jog somebodies memory. We are going to make new signs to put up outside the house as i am convinced whoever took nancy uses this road regularly. I am also posting missing posters to all the pet food shops in Bilston area. jackie  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There was a similar dog on west yorkshire strays   pupsandmutsdogrescue which at the time looked similar to Poppy who was missing from Bradford. The found one had a small white flash on the chest - but the owners said it wasnt her from looking at the pic from memory I dont think it stated whether the found one was male or female but they hopefully have records of where the found dog went to -- which I cant establish if has a white flash on chest  from the pic.  Know it is a fair way from where was lost but dont want to ignore it eitherLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dianne could you phone me re Nancy? I have spoken with a neighbour today (who owns a kennels) who had a break in and the person was arrested, but jumped bail. This person has a jack russell with him and said he was from Wolverhampton way. Another jack russell has also been taken from a garden just along from me, a cocker in Abbots bromley and a Springer spaniel this morning. The springer was also let out at 8am for his morniing exercise and did not return.  This house is about 3 fields away on my road - so it all seems very suspicious in such a small area. I have found some other photos on my husband phone, so i can make some more posters with pictures that indicate her size better. COME HOME NANCY xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I did put 1 poster on the bench as you walk into Morrsisons and one by the cash machine outside. I haven't had time to go back over yet to check if they are still up. I visited Rosedene yesterday just to check, but there was only 1 small dog. Thanks again for all your support. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Jackie, i was speaking to Rob and he mentioned how busy it is around the Morrisons store (Bilston) and he thought it would be a very good place to poster if you havn't already done so. Also the pubs might put a poster up for you as they should be very busy over New Year. Good luck with your continued efforts. Diane xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No news on nancy, she only got a little mention in the paper but anything is better than nothing. It just said my other dog is still missing but no real description, My problem, i think, is that although it's obvious to me what nancy looks like on the photo other people seem to think she is a much bigger dog. But i only have that 1 photo on my phone. It never occured to me i might lose her. Didn't have much success with travellers liason officer, they only said the weren't any travellers about, or any due for a while. COME ON NANCY WHERE ARE YOU???? We have made it to front cover of Express and Star, Brandy is there too, all of nancy's details are there, so hopefully somebody will recognise her and come forward. I'm so glad he was microchipped. We have put more posters up around Bilston, and found the travellers to ask for there help too. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Been to Bilston, posters are up, in the market, bus station, church, taxi ranks, morrisons and town centre if anyone is over there please keep looking, I don't expect her collar will be on as Brandy's had been removed, also running another Newspaper article tomorrow, finger crossed, theres still hope Nancy will find her way home.  Brandy is recovering well, his skin is bad from the flea infestation, but he's getting spoilt rotten by everybody. Haven't made it to travellers yet  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jackie, there is a permanent Travellers site at Batman Road, Coseley, Bilston. I think it  would be worth you postering there. I was so pleased to hear about your other dog. Diane x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Rochdale dog rescue forum mentions a Patterdale in a pound added 18/12/08  - it has until 26/12/08 described as -
Patterdale Terrier, female, approximately 1-2 years old. She is black with a rough coat and is small in size.

Jackie you need to get over to Bilston and have a day of postering as I'm not sure how many helpers are there. You can use the Find Any Vet UK tab to find vets in that area and email them a poster. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Nancy's house mate HAS BEEN FOUND, outside a house in Bilston West Mids. He had no collar or tags on, but is clean and obviously been fed. So WHERE IS NANCY?? Bilston is about 20 miles away, has he been driven there to be dumped, did he escape, does somebody in Bilston have nancy?? She must have been with him, so please look out for her. Does anybody live in Bilston? I could send some posters over. Jackie Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am very concerned somebody may have stolen Nancy for breeding, she is a rescue dog, and had a bad accident in August 2008, her pelvis was badly fractured and she must not be bred from, she was due to be neutered the day after she went missing. PLEASE look out for her. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
