The last I heard was that the owner was following up a lead, but that was a few weeks ago now. Sometimes these things take time. Will try and chase up some news. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Very sorry to see poor Sky is still missing. Would suggest all the usual stuff, poster, everywhere, handouts, mini cards (I can help you with these if it helps - leave a message on here for me or leave me a tel no or email so I know where to post them to. Other stuff we can talk about too. Sky went missing areound the same time as Bubbles (although still NOT caught!) and we know she is hearty and well and has survived the fens and cold weather so chances are Sky has too. Local newspaper and radio too. Good Luck, she's lovely.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks madmutz and Jan. This dog sounded very promising. Have had a call from Rosie who has been chasing all morning  -  but this one was claimed by its owner. The search goes on for Sky.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Madmutz, have contacted finder and updated the found dog's page, also passed information onto relative of RosieL.  Have also alerted Yasa of this found dog which is now with the Grantham DW, it is chipped but no details have been registered with the Chip Co.  Would be great if it was Sky.  Good luck.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well done Rosie !  Yes I know what you are up against in some areas - you really have to push and push and keep on and on. When you know which day you have an article going in, please email me or admin and we will bump you up to the top again. Well done !  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

to put add in local paper saying "stolen" we needed a crime number. When we phoned police the civilian who answered phone told us that stolen dogs did not warrent a crime no.After a second call where we insisted on talking to PC we were happily given a number and told that these crimes should be reported!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have called and spoken to Rosie. She will give an update later, but really nothing much to say other than unfortunately Sky is still out there. Have advised to get a crime number from the police as she must have been stolen or would know her way home. If any helpers in the area who have not come forward yet and could help with getting a few more posters out there, or handing some out, it would really help Rosie, as its not even her dog, but her neighbours, who is a gentleman on his own. Thanks. Poor Sky, I do hope she is safe.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just spoken to Rosie, bless her she is doing everthing she can to help her neighbour find Sky. Have advised her to poster locally and further away just in case he has been taken out of the area. Am sending her all contact info.

Photo of similar dog now on site. I hope the fur is not too long on this one. Our description says short and smooth coat. May be able to get a better pic later.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I think we are going to have to use a similar photo on this one. Email from Rosie > Sky is my neighbours dog but he is not on the internet, he doesn't have a camera either! Sky was a rescued dog that until she came to my neighbour, had been kept in a small travel cage. Once she was let out of her cage it didn't take long for her to become a normal dog but she was not very confident and never went far from her new owner,  or his other dog, a rescued Dalmation.   Last Sunday morning both dogs were in his farmyard at 8am in the morning but when he went out 45mins later Sky was missing. The farm is about 1/4 mile down a dead end lane and there is little traffic but we believe someone has picked up the dog either to steal her or thinking she was lost-even though she wasn?t!   I have since learnt that some youths have been seen trying to entice a dog from its owner down the next lane and that this incident was reported to the police because the dog owner thought that it was so strange. Sky?s owner has reported Sky missing to the police, phoned the dog warden vets and local dogs homes and the two radio stations in Lincolne. Today we have made lost signs that are being put out around the local area.      Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner, so sorry to see Sky has gone missing. I have emailed you some information sheets, and contact numbers but we need a photograph straight away for the poster. If you cannot upload one yourself, please email it back to me or if you have a photo on a camera phone it can be texted to the mobile on the email. Your account is activated so please leave us a comment with more details of the area Sky is missing from and what has been done so far. If she knows the area, she will probably make her way back to where she last saw you, so if this is near her home, leave a way open for her and something with your scent on and her bedding outside the house. You need hundreds of posters up immediately in the area with your contact numbers  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
