Sorry this has taken awhile but.
Di, I would try and keep inc ontact as much as possible if i was you.

The people that own this Chi without going into it too much arent really that nice, The woman you spoke to her partner doesnt actually like the Chi as its picks on her other Chi ( which came from the same kennels after a despite between staff. )

i hope, they look after her,as she will always be my baby girl,i will never forget her,i just wish she could come home to us,we miss her so much,

I really don't understand it either BUT, recently, in Yorkshire too, a dog was lost/stolen in about 2006, the new owners decided to change address on it's microchip. The chip company contacted first owner about the change of address, but would not tell them who now had the dog. Got Police involved, but they would not tell the original owner either, who had the dog, as the new owners had bought it, in good faith ! so, as the first owners said, what's the point of having your dog chipped, if you cannot get it back ?? CRAZY - that's why you have them chipped in the first place, so you can get your dog back !

I'm pleased the owner now has peace of mind that her dog is alive and well. However, is it definitely correct that she has no claim on the dog? If she has informed all the correct authorities at the time and been actively looking for the dog I don't see how someone else can give your property (which is how dogs are viewed within the law) away without your consent.

Original owner has got in touch and is happy to know the dog is now in a good home. She understands that she has no claim over the dog but would like to thank new owner for checking on doglost and putting her worry to an end. New owner will be texting some photos so old owner will know she is fine and happy.

new owner has rung from the same area also thinking it could be the same dog. Hve tried to get in touch with previous owner but she has since moved.

Legally the dog has served its time in kennels and has been re homed according to the law and now has a loving home with 2 other dogs and 2 cats. New owner just wanted original owner to know she is safe and well.

Can you please email me some more pictures of Lulu, I think i may have a lead only problem is if it is the same dog then she has since been rehomed, I do know who has rehomed it but whether or not they ar elikely to give her back in another matter.

O_mark_b@hotmail.co.uk is my email address.

Thanks

If you can, send posters and a covering letter to all vets in the area and to rescue kennels. Might be useful to also give a fluer to your local post man as they get around alot. Hope Lulu is home soon    RachelLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owners have postered and informed dog wardens, vets and local stray kennels. If they keep checking with them and also do some more postering someone will hopefully come forward with some news of this girl xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
