it is awful,we are still trying to do everything possible to try and find her and get her home. i have contacted the paul o'grady show to see if he can help with an appeal as i heard he helped people who had had their dogs stolen or lost them, also a lady i met through bulldogs is also helping me in liverpool, she knows some firefighters who are going to distribute some flyers of mini princess,it just gets worse as the days go on,we cant settle until we find her....thankyou to everyone who is helping us we truly appreciate it,we just hope we can find her!!xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It might be worth putting an advert in the Loot and Quids In with a photo, we did it with ruby. The Loot advertise up and down the country, we put it in all the papers, it wasnt cheap but it covers a lot of the country, and a lot of people buy this paper when looking to buy or sell pets. My thoughts are with Rebecca, keep positive keep the search going, there are lots of people on the look out for Mini Princess and I am 100% sure your little girl is being looked after despite some cruel, heartless texts you have received. Hurry home Mini Princess xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

so sorry it wasnt her..but the vets were brilliant and said they are on the look out if anyone reg her and so are the other branches which is really good! and thankfully she is very unusual so will stand out!  The best hope is that someone will go and register her without knowing she is stolen!!!   Fingers crossed she will come up soon

Thanks for all the comments and to everyone who is helping in the search for little Mini Princess.  Have been in regular contact with owner, Police have now issued a Crime Number and are taking this theft seriously, CCTV cameras are being checked.  This has been a very traumatic experience for the family and we now just want to find her.  Jan x If anyone is able to email her poster to anyone else please let us know and word doc posters can be sent to you.  xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner should contact all the Vets in the Merseyside area because if ths puppy has been sold on, which is very likely, then she will need to be innoculated. Hope you find her soonLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

i have just read your response (hello janey) and although arguing is not going to get my baby back i would like to make a point, there was no DEAL done,i was not in a carpark but had merely met the man,at an easy place to locate, just off the main road, not knowing the area with a view to obviously go to his house, this all happened so quickly , i would most definately not just give my babies to anyone they mean the world to me,i was duped by this man, and do not care about the money in the slightest, this is totally insignificant, please just imagine how it must feel to see someone running off with something or someone very precious to you, i can tell you its the most heart wrenching thing i have ever gone through, and cannot stop thinking about it,i just hope and prey that she will come home, and when she does i will not be letting her out of my sight.i love you mini princess.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The most important thing now though is concentrating on finding her. The welfare of the missing dogs on the site is what matters.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Unfortunately valuable dogs are seen as just another to way to make easy money by stealing them and selling them on, or selling them to  intensively breed them. This is why I think it is so important to microchip and tattoo puppies as soon as possible, ready for their new homes.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
hello janey
mmm reading the post...carpark 9.30pm.. counterfeit notes exchanged,,,the deal was done there and then, without seeing who he really was, they got her for free..thats the real point, she will be bought thats for sure, but really this is a police matter, and they should be doing whatever they can to help you out? i'm sure anyone who goes to that amount of trouble will treat her with the respect she deserves and she will come to no harm ;-)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

i was not putting her in jeopardy i love my dogs , they are like my kids, even when my pups have been leaving home going to people who are going to love and care for them it is still a sad time, this for me and my family is unbearable and i cannot believe and am still in shock that this has happened.everything happened so quick, obviously i wouldve go into this mans house and see his home and family before i wouldve let him take her,i care about my babies and about where they go,maybe i was foolish for trusting this man and taking things at face value, and for sure i wont ever let anything like this happen again. i just want to concentrate on doing anything possible to find her and pray to god that i can and can bring her home safely,i just hope that there are people out there like myself , who are honest and genuine and who hopefully will buy her or know something about where she is and come forward and get her home.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
hello janey
this is just so sad that people would do this ;-( but really she isnt going home to her mum,dad and 2 sisters,,she was being sold on and will probably be on her return! the poor little soul was being put in jeopardy anyway,,even if the notes were not fake with that type of sale,,you cannot guarantee what happens when they leave you,he wont badly treat a pup of that worth, but hopefully he is caught and she is safe soon. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just a thought, it might be "newsworthy" enough for local T.V. or radio  stations to put something on about it.  I hope she is found quickly  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I can't believe this has happened, i hope this little girl comes home safe and sound, i heard about this incident last night from my bulldogs breeder and put her on to Jan. It might be worth speaking to the Liverpool Echo, they covered our story when our British Dog Ruby was snatched, keep up with the posters, in pet shops, vets, etc Ask police to check an CCTV cameras in the area the pup was stolen. Stay safe little one come home soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

How awfull, as if liverpool doesnt have a bad enough name there are still louts out there able to pull us down further with there under handed scams.
Do hope this little princess is returned soon, there is a leason to be learnt in all this tho, not everyone is trustworthy and puppys should not be sold unless u know where they are going, pertential owners should come and meet you at your home so u can see for yourself if they will be suitable for one of your babys .If this man was truly genuine he would have made the effort to come to you.
Stay safe little one.

Thanks pheonix for posting. Liverpool Echo have been contacted hopefully story should be run soon.  Have not long spoken to owner and discussed things to do.  Vets have been getting contacted. A4 poster and smaller posters with both photos emailed to owner, North Co-ordinators, local helpers and local various rescues including Bulldog Rescue and Merseyside Cocker Spaniel Rescue. If anyone is able to help with postering or emailing onto anyone please let us know and we can send you posters.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Definitely need lots of publicity in the area. Something on the local news and local papers with pictures if possible would be good. Need to get the message out there to as many people as possible, dog owners and non-dog owners alike. The bulldog rescue website also post missing bulldogs, so would get other bulldog owners on the lookout. We used to have one and would certainly notice if someone locally got one as they are not that common to see (not around our area at least). Someone on the site recently got her bulldog puppies back so don't lose hope. Good luck x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Contacted by owner late last night, unfortunately I was not at home, but did give advice on some things to do, have tried to contact them again this morning. Mini Princess was stolen Thursday evening 30th October on WILLOW WAY, just off the East Lancs Road opposite Car Craft at 9.30 pm.  Owner had travelled to liverpool to meet a potential buyer after advertising in a local paper, he said he had no transport.  Owner met him with two pups and the dad of the pups also owner's brother.  The man ran off with Mini Princess leaving the brother with counterfeit Scottish ?20 bank notes, owner said it all happened so quickly. Police were phoned straight away and they went to the nearest police station to report the incident.  Will do usual posters a.s.a.p. we need to make Mini Princess too hot to handle.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
