- Have emailed with the owner's daughter last night and this morning offered further advice. It is possible she may have gone hunting, or gone off with someone. Spoken to owner Margaret this morning and have forwarded Sophie's poster to her by email for her to print off as it is easier for her. Anyway, I hope all the advice gets Sophie found somehow. - Margaret, thanks for updating us, you can send a mobile phone pic to 07809 722509 and it will be uploaded a.s.a.p. Fingers crossed you find her soon once the posters start getting circulated, she may have been taken in by someone who does not know that they should report a found dog. Good luck. - Hello! Thank you for all the helpful advice - wish I had checked out your website for help earlier. We have kept hoping that she would reappear. She is greatly missed by all the family. The poster facility is a great help as we had not done that- unbelievably we haven't been able to find a photo of her. I am her owner's daughter and have just found a picture of her on my phone with my dog - its not a great shot- I don't know how to get in on the computer! I did not realise that she could be rehomed so quickly - it may be that she has been rehomed if she has been found as it is now 2 weeks since she went missing. Really hoping that she is safe somewhere as she is a very special wee dog and I know that my parents are desperate to have her home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Margaret are you checking the police stations regularly, as the police sometimes don't have time to deal with dogs? They need to be called a couple of times a day. As Sophie is not chipped and may have lost her ID and collar, she may now be at the local rescue kennels. The police office or the dog warden will tell you where this is. By law, a dog can be re-homed after 7 days if not re-claimed, so please call the kennels every day also. Please call the dog Warden ASAP if not done already, and you will find them at the local council offices.Could Sophie have gone hunting? If so please search the area where you think she may be, around dawn and dusk, as this is when she will be hunting. Please call me for further advice on this subject, as there is much you can do to help find her. I have texted you, so you have my number.Best wishes. I hope she is home soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Sorry to see Sophie is missing, thanks for registering and putting her details on DL, great you have supplied a SIMILAR PHOTO. We will do all we can to help you in your search for her. You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible. You can print posters by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in). Contact vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo). Do update us on who has been contacted ie DW’s etc and if you have started postering. You can leave a comment by selecting Add a comment just above other comments. Good luck and hope she is found soon. Jan XLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
