from Owner........ Devastating update Thor update: The sheer devastation is unreal. It is with broken hearts we have to say that Thor was found this morning on Bramshott common. All signs indicate he was chasing down a deer and got kicked hard in the head. As a family we would all like to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to all you wonderful people who have offered their time and good wishes in our search for him. People we haven’t met have walked miles for us and driven out at all hours to look for him. Rest assured if sheer goodwill could have brought him home it would have. Wishing everyone a very happy new year and again, our heartfelt thanks to you allxxxx

Collar tag: No. Thor yanked on a walk two days previous and it snapped off

The story:
Thor and Juno are our beloved German Shepherds and we as a family hold animals very close to our hearts and still have not had our Christmas due to a big part of the family not being here. Thor is a large, male German Shepherd that weighs around 65kg who loves children and is completely harmless. He is uncle to our bitch, Juno, whom is clearly lost without him; they both presumably ran after a deer or the scent of a deer which is normal for them but when Juno returned after 45 minutes and Thor did not we got concerned. She did not attempt to lead us anywhere and would not leave my dads side; the one walking them at the time. He rewalked the walk multiple times before calling the home phone at 11AM to inform the rest of the family. We set out in pairs calling him and shaking a bucket of food in hopes he would come back to us but after an excruciating 35000 steps in 27 kilometres we decided to leave his towel at the carpark where the car is usually parked.
We have asked houses in the area, the prince of Wales pub and local stables including the game keeper to keep their eyes peeled for us. We have also registered his disappearance on facebook community boards, contacted surrey and Hampshire police, dogbusters in Guildford, lostdogs, lost pets surrey and other various dog wardens, vet practices and the Army around the area. I am in the process of getting his story into the newspapers to get the word out due to 4 previous dogs being reported as missing or stolen in the same location. Throughout the day we made sure at least one person was there at all times in case he wondered back to the car and have continued through early hours this morning, late last night and today to regularly drive and walk around the area looking for him.
Between 6 and 6:30pm my dad and I set out placing missing posters around all the entrances to the surrounding common when we got a disturbing call from my sister that was at Waggoners Wells reporting she had been chased back to her car by a man watching her inside the woods. She said she was tying the poster by the steps when she saw something and started to speak to it. They did not reply and all she heard was running footsteps, so she headed back to the car and locked herself in. The man came to the window with a pale face and all black tracksuit as she drove away scared for her life. It was pitch black and she is a young, beautiful woman on her own, why would someone be there, waiting, watching and attempting to intimidate her? She was in tears and warns everyone in the Waggoner Wells and Bramshott region to watch out for themselves and their dogs! MISSING DOG!!! Thor is a big friendly giant, if anyone has seen him message straight away. We cannot start our Christmas without you buddy Bramshott Chase/Haslemere/Liphook area was where he was being walked early this morning. Missing since 7am! CALL 01428604346
Last seen running off with our other shepherd, Juno, between Bramshott and Waggners Wells GU26. Worryingly Juno returned but Thor never did. Thanks everyone!
