Thank you Riverlady for keeping an eye out for dear little Snowy. I have just had an email from Snowy's owners to say that she is still missing & there has been no news so the posters & alerts to all vets .dog wardens, local rescues are still needing to be active.Snowy is microchipped & this is in her favour .If only vets would automatically scan dogs as they come in , anyway, if the alerts are current then hopefully this might trigger a response.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If she has been seen in this area by quite a few people this is good news, have the owners been sent scenting instructions?, good idea to get the area scented and leave some bedding and food in a safe spot. good luck today and stay safe SnowyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for this Majorjet.Yes I'm sure people would think that Snowy is a Bichon or Maltese as those breeds are more familiar. Snowy's owner has had a few calls from the posters which they are checking out. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Emailed updated posters, with both pics on to owner and riverlady.  Wonder if Snowy maybe mistaken for a Maltese or Bichon Frise.  Jan x http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bichon http://www.gotpetsonline.com/bichon-frise/bichon-frise-dog/bischon-frise.html http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&q=maltese+dog&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&resnum=1&ct=title http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maltese_(dog)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Riverlady, thanks for helping Snowy's owner in their search.  I have emailed to you an A4 poster (this can be used for emailing out)  and also separate smaller ones, owner is trying to send better photos but has been having problems, as soon as they are received we can change the photo on the posters.  Posters have also been emailed to Snowy's owner.  Good luck.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

More posters are going up this week. It could be that Snowy has been taken in by someone well meaning so word needs to be put out there . Her family desperately need her back home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hope Snowy is home soon.Very few people - including Rescues and Police,Dog Wardens etc will recognise a Havanese I would think so a description of small fluffy white dog may have more impact when phoning any of these? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We are still searching with no luck at all.  Just want to thank
Riverlady for keeping an eye out.
Further details to add to Snowy's description are:
Silky coat
long fluffy tail
she is described by all who meet her as "a ball of fluff" .
We want to offer a reward of ?500.  Please could you add this to our
posting.
Thank you for all you are doing.  It's keeping us positive.

Mobile phone photo now uploaded, quality is not that clear.  Owner sorry to see lovely little Snowy is missing, fingers crossed the sighting is her.  Thanks for registering her details on DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search for her if she is not home by now.   You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1  just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in - email and password required).  Do update us on where she went missing, was she on a walk or missing from home, also who has been contacted ie DW’s etc.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment just above other comments,  Good luck and hope she is found soon.  JanLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
