Millys Mum
I'm so very pleased that another Rottie has been reunited - welcome home Storm. Knowing Rotties as I do, at that age he would be worried about being away from his family and out of his normal routine (Rotties just love routines!) and so I'm sure now he's back home, things will begin to improve, although they do, of course, have very long memories and are more sensitive than most people might think. Just make sure you get on top of the kennel cough because he's still only a youngster. As Sable has already said, please get this precious boy a chip AND an ID tag on his collar as a welcome home present and give him a big bear hug from me and Milly!

Update from owner: Yes, I did not think I would ever see him again as looking through the lost ads it appears many are lost for years and I know dogs are sent to Ireland.  I saw an article where puppies have been taken locally so was very concerned.  Still do not know how they got him through as he does not welcome strangers!!

Welcome home Storm. Hope you get a microchip as a welcome home present when you are the vet. Perhaps a nice shiny new ID disk too?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

e mail from owners   Thank you but just to let you know I located him today at at Forest Lodge Kennels, he had been found wandering around daventry so obviously someone had just dumped him off without regard for his safety.  He is not very well as he has kennel cough probably from the stress as he is with us all the time usually and must have been a shock. He is very quiet and will have to get him to vet tommorow I reckon.  Anyway a happy ending and hope he gets back to his normal boisterous self soon.  Best Wishes  Sylvia  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Has the Dog Warden been notified? This has to be done first, then poster everywhere you can. Make it difficult for thieves to pass this dog on or keep him, by making him too hot to handle. Get his profile out there everywhere. Put an ad in the local paper with his picture, as someone may have taken him in good faith, not knowing it is your beloved pet. Best wishes and hope you are successful.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
