I'm not sure whether he had tattoos or not.  He was only with me for a few hours until he was collected by the kennels.  I didn't want to pull him about too much.  He was very tired and just wanted a drink and a kip.  However, when I spoke to the dog warden they were very clued up on scanning for a microchip and checking for a tattoo.  Either there were none, or the contact details were outdated.  Either way, this lovely boy will now have been put up for re-homing.

Hi,
Are you definatly sure he does not have ear tatoos - if he doesn't that means he's not an ex-racing greyhound and might not be 100% greyhound at all.  It is very rare for a greyhound not to have tatoos unless they are show greyhounds or have been bred for coursing by travellers.

Just uploaded a couple of photos. I have just now phoned the Vale of the White Horse District Council to see if an owner has come forward.  They haven't :-(.  His 7 days is up today, so the rehoming process will start after close of play. This is one beautiful boy.  Well fed, gentle natured, very friendly.  He had very long claws and was lame on his near fore.  I'm hoping this was only because he had ripped his claws a bit.  He also had a couple of hot spots on his quarters.

Did you have a photo of him as many are missing around this area? Or could you take a look at them and try to do a match they are in the areas listed as South West and South East use the advance search to the left of this page please.

This dog was seen by a neighbour running loose in the close where I live in north Abingdon.  He is well fed so has probably not been wandering for long.  He is a friendly dog, and came straight up to me when I went to catch him.  He was also good with my foster dog.  I notified the dog warden and he has been taken off to kennels.  I very much hope there is an owner out there looking for him as he is such a gorgeous dog and must be a bit bewildered by everything.
