Countryman's weekly have just called me back and they have looked through the last few weeks publications and it's nothing that they have sent to print. The only Tilly that was registered with Countryman's Weekly is Tilly from Urmston back in May. As yet they haven't heard anything but they have taken my phone number and are going to call if they receive any information - did you get the name of the paper or the rescue that was involved so I can call them directly? Absolutely no news whatsoever. I can only hope that she is being well looked after and not living outside tied up - she would hate that!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi - Just wanted to wish you luck in finding tilly. When i saw your ad I couldn,t believe it. We too lost our little patterdale, also called Tilly and also on 20th april in the manchester area. When i saw the photo of her my jaw ped - it was just like looking at our tilly except she is only 15mths old but how uncanny! We think like you that she is being kept somewhere because she was wearing an id tag and is microchipped. We,ve been absolutely distraught as i,m sure you are so fingers crossed for both of us!! Chris.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, this is Tilly's mum. Nothing to report yet. The route that I am taking is - I didn't want to put posters up immediately as I believe the person who stole her (possibly) the same person who had her for 8 months last time will 'hide' her for a few days as they may be nervous. They may hide her for longer or move her on if they see a poster. When they have relaxed and taken/let her out and a few people have had the chance to see her I will then put the posters up. This may make someone 'spill the beans' as there is a ?300 reward. I know where she was picked up last time and will definately target this area. (rough area) and full of dodgy people.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Posters need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, petshops, ask postie (go to sorting office), milkmen, binmen, schools, youth clubds, pubs, mcdonalds, dog training clubs and deliver to houses etc. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. Check Police stations and Dog Warden. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Tilly. This one def needs to go to media =- can someone please ensure it does - Family heartbroken after dog they spent eight months looking for goes missing - nearly three years to the day that she was stolen. Tilly the nine year old Patterdale Terrier was reunited with her family in May 2004, eight months after she had been stolen from her Church Hatton Home. However, almost exactly three years later she has gone again something along these lines. Just a helpign habnd for the owner as I am off now - toodlepips!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yes I cannot believe it! Tilly is home! I always felt that she was still alive and living in York somewhere. After 8 months I really thought that maybe it wouldn't happen and I was just hoping/dreaming. At last she got out of her 'new home' and picked up by the dog warden. Luckily the new owners hadn't put a disk on her with a telephone number, or somebody might have done the good deed and phoned the new owners to say they had found her. Maybe they didn't dare disk her, if they were the ones who stole her! She is very fat and her nails were extremely long, so she hadn't been walked or let out much. Maybe they were afraid someone might recognise her from the dozen's of posters I put up around York. She is laid in the corner of the office in her basket as we speak and is slowly being her old self again. We must spread the word about the importance of microchipping, as I am convinced I wouldn't have seen her again had she not been chipped. The fact that she was always led me to believe that one day she would get out of her 'new home' and be picked up and that is exactly what happened! I love you Tilly Bum Bum.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
