The owner of one of the dogs has been contacted but he claims he re homed the dog 6-8 weeks ago and hasn’t been able to get hold of the new owner or anyone that he knows - sounds suspicious to me!! The other dog has no chip and has no house training so we believe the dogs have not been living in a family home for a while and have probably gotten lost from illegal coursing and that is why nobody has come forward for them, they might be in safe hands with the warden but they will most likely be separated and rehomed on they’re own when these two clearly come as a pair, I will be speaking to the warden today about holding onto them till the owners have come forward or it’s time to re home as I’ve been told that this is possible for 30 days, fingers crossed they get they’re happy ending

No problem, was just worried they'd managed to escape from you! The vets aren't able to give you the chip numbers or any owner details unfortunately but the dog warden or Bath cats and dogs home will be able to scan, keep them safe and try to locate their owner, they'll be in very safe hands with them :)

I didn’t change that, I have the dogs at home with me, how odd!! I’ll change it back, I have had them scanned and only one with chip so I’m taking them back tomorrow to rescan, vets would t give us chip number so hopefully someone more competent will be there tomorrow, my other half not long back with them so I will make the calls in the morning when someone will likely answer, I’ll update post when I have more info Last edited: 2018-11-11 17:30:02

Hi Kitty you had the dogs contained but I see it's been changed to sighted only, can you let me know what's happened?

Also really important that you contact the Dog Warden and log with them, 0300 456 0107, it will sound as though the offices are closed but keep listening for further options which will include the dog warden service, I believe its option 4. Log with Bath cats and dogs home (who have the wilts stray contract) on 01225 787322 x

Have they been checked for a microchip?

Hi Curiouskitty, thanks for listing, have you let the dog warden know and logged with police on 101? Are the dogs with you?

Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
