As sighted, someone must be feeding Polly. I have been in contact with a cat owner whose pet went missing for THREE MONTHS. He was found by the owners brother, only ten minutes from his home. A woman had been feeding him fresh chicken every day.

Sounds promising. I would advise the owner to walk around the area, she was sighted, taking with them her cat carrier, and as suggested in my post below 2018-9-15. try the "Deodorant, and Air Freshener trick" And rattle those Dreamies. Is it possible that you could set a trap somewhere in the area she may have been sighted? Maybe in someone`s back garden? With their permission of course, and place inside an object with her scent on, such as her UNWASHED blanket. ( I would refrain from putting in treats at this stage, because of other cats etc). your scent too. You can borrow a cat trap from an animal rescue centre, or Cat Protection. (For a small donation I think) Paws xd.

Possible sighting in Carnforth on estate opposite high school.

When cats escape like this they will usually find refuge in someone`s garden near where they go missing, or a hiding place nearby .. Poster around that area, and post flyers through doors there too. When the owner is searching, good idea to use the same deodorant they use on a day to day basis, as she will recognize the scent, and the owner is the one she trusts. Or/and take with you an Air Freshener which should remind Polly of her home comforts. Consider posting a LOST CAT ad in National newspaper, in case she has climbed into a vehicle. Hand out posters in that area too. When searching at night, take with you a strong torch, as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Always take with you her favourite treats to rattle. Someone may have taken her in. Not everyone thinks to get a found cat scanned for a microchip. Paws xd.Last edited: 2018-09-15 21:19:28
