Penny has arrived in rescue and the poor lost soul really is heart breaking, she is the most gentle of girls but just has lost that sparkle.
She does love a cuddle and having someone close by but something in the past has not been good to her :-(
Not to mention the fact that she is pinning for her pups, she also has a sore leg and is having xrays on it to check this out.
The rescue have tried a few things including a thunder jacket, but the one thing that really did get our lovely Penny to come out of her shell a little was the company of another dog.
Its not often dogs come into the pound and leave in such a sad state and do not come round after an hour or so. Sadly this little girl soul just needs that bit longer. She will and the story will be so different in hopefully not to far away.
Penny you are a beautiful girl and we are so sorry humans failed you like this.
I know Penny would love to tell you how grateful she is an i am sure soon we will be able to post much happier stories about her.

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
