A message from Harvey's owner via Finding Harvey in the Highlands group:
"Dear Friends and Supporters of Harvey,

It has been a hectic past two days. Me, returning with the boys from Scotland without my little buddy Harvey, arranging things to come back to The Highlands to continue the search, unpacking and packing and, this is most special, being amazed at a huge amount of support from the lovely Scottish people and other friends we made through our new Facebook group: Finding Harvey in the Highlands.

Here’s the status, Aneta and me are flying back to Inverness today to have another attempt at finding Harvey. We brought some equipment to monitor the area where he was last seen and hope to lure him out of his shelter with familiar smells, amongst which I am one, and food. The plan is now to do this for few days to see if he is still actually there, as he has not been spotted there yet. You suggested that this is the most likely place he will be hiding from any imminent danger. He will be back into his survival instinct mode where he will probably only come out to hunt or drink. Luring him out with food hopefully will do the trick.

Once we spot him we have to be careful to regain his trust and not try to chase him because he may not see us as his friends anymore. So careful approach is needed.

I will try to keep you updated when we are up there, mobile reception permitting, so please bear with us. In the meantime, our friends will stay online to monitor sightings and answer your comments, so please be on the lookout for Harvey.

Thank you for all your support and best wishes! It gives us hope and strength. And hopefully, see you on the trails near Dundonnell 🙂

Aneta & Menno"

Further update from Harvey's dedicated group:
"Unfortunately the sightings this morning were of a little female Boarder Terrier who lives in the area and had sneaked out for an early morning stroll. We're all a bit gutted behind the scenes BUT it does mean we are able to refocus and regroup our search back in the original area Harvey disappeared from."

From Harvey's dedicated group @09:00 today 3/9:
"Hi we have just had a PM to our business FB Page (The Real Sweets & Gift Company The Pump Room, Strathpeffer at the Pump Room) to say there’s a possible sighting at Lochluichart, heading towards Garve. The man stopped to try and get the dog, but by the time he had turned he couldn’t find it. Please be on the look out if you’re anywhere around the area. We’ve emailed Menno to alert him to this too and posted it on Highland Dogblog and Strathpeffer FB Page. Fingers and everything crossed."
